Snapping is not an easy read, but it is well worth the time. This book examines the phenomenon of sudden personality change from the perspective of information overload, prevalent in our highly technological society. Information overload, according to Conway and Siegelman, can be manipulated by a cult's mind-control practices, or can occur spontaneously; the end results are quite similar. Snapping is a fascinating study.
