Wisconsin Attorney General Charges Trek Alliance

December 5, 2001

The State of Wisconsin has filed a complaint against California-based Trek Alliance and its principals, alleging misrepresentation and other unlawful practices to recruit distributors.

Trek Alliance, which was started by a group of former Equinox participants, has misrepresented income potential, failed to disclose that the water treatment systems it sells are not legal to sell in Wisconsin, misrepresented available positions with the company, and failed to disclose that an investment is required, according to the Attorney General.

Named in the complaint are Harry Flagg, Rich Von (Richard VonAlvensleben), Morgan Hill, and two salespeople, Joseph DeLisle and Travis Just of Minnesota.

The state is seeking restitution for injured participants, as well as civil forfeitures, and an injunciton barring the company and its representatives from operating in the State of Wisconsin.
