Bill Britt Resigns
Amway/Quixtar Crown Ambassador Bill Britt Resigns Quixtar IBOA Board
June 17, 2004
Bill Britt's kingpin Quixtar organization was featured on a hidden-camera expose by Dateline NBC on May 7. Last week, Britt was "outed" on another website, which published information about his impending divorce from long-time wife, Peggy.
Amway/Quixtar leaders have bragged for years about the almost nonexistent divorce rate amont participants. However, this fabrication can't be maintained in the rash of high-level marriage breakups among the Diamonds. Paul Miller, a Triple Diamond in the Britt organization, has divorced wife Debbie. Other notable divorces include Crowns Ken and Donna Stewart, and Crowns Tim and Connie Foley.
Since "strong marriages" are part of the bait used to recruit new participants into Quixtar, marriage breakups -- especially if they involve infidelity -- result in significant drops in income for these "big pins."
According to information, the Britts filed for divorce last fall. However, both appeared on stage together at major functions over the winter. Obviously, they were trying to keep their marital troubles under wraps.
Britt has been fanatic over the years in his public statements opposing divorce and marital infidelity.
Now, Britt has left the Quixtar IBOA Board. In a message distributed throughout the WWDB organization, kingpin Ron Puryear has made it clear that Britt will no longer be speaking in that group.
Britt was also featured in North Carolina news recently when he was found to have invested millions in an illegal scheme. In fact, Peggy had to file a restraining order to prevent his further "investment" in other schemes.
