| Just as the National Rifle Association and the NAACP are special interest groups with a political agenda, so, I believe, people interested in MLM form a special interest group. Readers of this website are entitled to know about the MLM connections of political candidates, especially candidates for major offices. This is the second article outlining the Amway/Bush connection
On October 25th, IBOs in the Dexter Yager organization received a political message. It was sent by Yager's son, Steve. Beginning with assurances that the Yagers know George W. and Laura Bush personally, it quickly moved to its main theme. For those who are unaware, Amway/Quixtar sells a voicemail service called "Amvox," provided by VoiceTel. This system allows users to establish lists of other Amvox users, and to forward messages in whole which are received by one Amvox user to the Amvox voicemail mailboxes of other users. (It was the Amvox system which was used, for example, by Diamond Randy Haugen to disseminate false information about Procter & Gamble which has been the subject of lawsuits in Utah. The October 25th message, sent out by Steve Yager on behalf of Yager Communications was a message from George W. Bush himself. It began:

Bush's campaign has received significant financial backing from Amway and its distributor leaders, directly and indirectly. This is obviously a "special interest group" which has significant access to him. |
