NBC Dateline Aired Quixtar Expose

After some on-again, off-again scheduling, Dateline aired a hidden-camera expose of Quixtar on May 7, 2004. Featured on the show were hidden-camera views of a "major" function in the motivational organization run by Bill Britt, as well as "opportunity" meetings and interviews.

Quixtar executives and leaders all refused to be interviewed for the show.

The show also featured interviews with a former Diamond, Bo Short; former Emerald, Eric Scheibeler, and former distributors who described the "business" as a scam.

Dateline's interviewers made the point that over 99% of participants in Quixtar do not make money. They also referred to ongoing FBI and IRS investigations, although they did not say who is being investigated, and for what.
