Amway Diamonds Use Legal System to Harass Site Owners
Following in the footsteps of the parent company, several Amway /Quixtar diamonds are trying to stop critical web sites from talking about them. How? By threatening or filing lawsuits against the sites.
In recent months, Team of Destiny and Orrin Woodward have initimdated one host into shutting down the "Quixtar Amway Business Analysis" site, and are attempting to do so with another. They are also threatening legal action against site the site owner. Among other things, they appear to be abusing the copyright law to accuse him of trademark and copyright violations. Why? Because when he's discussing "Team of Destiny" on h is site, he isn't putting the trademark symbol "™" after the name. How often do you see a newspaper or magazine article that references, say, "Ford Motor Company" use the "™" symbol? See the exchange of letters between TOD's lawyer and the site owner.
