Herbalife Founder Dies Suddenly
Mark Hughes, founder of Herbalife, was found dead in his Malibu, CA home on Sunday. The cause of death is not known. An autopsy will be performed on Hughes, who was only 44 years old at the time of his death.
According to information publicized by Hughes, he started the company after his mother died of an overdose of sleeping pills.
An initial autopsy has been "inconclusive," so the coroners will run "routine" toxicology test to determine whether Hughes had alcohol or drugs in his bloodstream at the time of death. There is no suggestion of foul play.
Christopher Pair has been appointed as interim CEO.
