Re: Amway

I would like to state that I have never heard any of the comments your page displays the Yager family saying. I feel that your page consists of people who could not or did not make their Amway business what they wanted and therefore they felt the need to complain. [Really? You mean, people like Emerald Direct Dr. Joe Morrison, or Diamond Direct Kelly Robinson? How about Triple Diamond Brig Hart? Obviously, reading something like the text of a lawsuit is beyond your capabilities.]

The Yager family is terrific and so is their organization. The people who make it in this business have to work hard, and make some sacrafices in the beginning but we also enjoy a life most Americans never will and for that I am grateful to Dex and Birdie.

Amway offers only the opportunity to succeed not the guarantee. I have never told a prospect that the money and good times DO come without hard work and determination. Rather, I and my downline tell them that it is hard work and that if they succeed and prosper it is worth it all.

Re: Thanks and Gratitude

Hello again,

I wrote awhile back (about a month) disapproving of the targeted Amay information. We talked back and forth a little and we were able to seeeye to eye.

I just wanted to let you know that I was recently approached by an Amwaydistributor, offering up a brand new vehicle/"potential scam". It hasto do with an online mall opening in September (projected). It is atMymall.com right now I believe, but you need an access code to get inand really look around. I was wondering if you had any information onthis new thing that they are doing. The salesmen told me that Amay"owned" the company setting this up, but it wasn't directly run byAmway.

I have my suspicions though, considering he gave me several tapes that mentioned Amway in them. One was actually called "This is Amway"(perhaps you know of this one! :) )

It does look like a decent opportunity, but by reading over your site, the name Amway scares me to death!!! If your site would not be writinginformation like this, I may have leaped into a very bad situation!

In summary, please let me know if you have any information on a new online mall Amway is starting up. I will be getting access codes from my potential sponsor tomorrow. If you wish, I can email them to you and you can take a look for yourself (there is no harm in giving the code out, it is encouraged...)

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to your site, it truly has helped my LIFE out in this case! Earlier I believed the Amway bashing material was excessive and unnecessary, but now I can definetely see it is VERY much needed!

Take care,

Re: Heck uva page Part I

your page provided some interesting reading. I like to inform myself from all angles. I do concur that even people as Falwell make false claims, whether intentional or not.

the page did seem a bit like sour grapes. The jerry springeresque page on Amway people in scams was a little much. Muckracking. You get that crap in all business, churches, action groups etc, regardless of the greater groups morality.

I am a somewhat passive distributor (6 years and running), and yes I have had doubt, suspicion and the like in regard to the business. I really believe the good outweighs the bad, even for the people who spend lots of money on seminars and the like.

I am glad for your desire to provide some parameters on a business like Amway for others to see the dark side, and to warn of fraud, etc. But just as Falwell may have said some errant things (which I have not checked out) I believe your web page is too onesided and bitter. I am TRULY sorry you evidently had a horrible experience. I agree that "realism" is discarded often in favor of optimism in "the business." But you know, most times I have been involved with high level people I have had to deal with the disappointments of experiencening their "warts." Some are REALLY BIG AND HAIRY.

But I am still a vocal supporter of Amway, though not blind. I hope that, if you do not already, you will be able to see the good in tens of thousands of people in Amway. We all know WE ALL have the bad.

Take care of yourself, whoever you are.

Part II

Hey, someone actually exists on the other side! By the way, what does IMO stand for? Is that Internet (computer sort, not Yager) short hand?

I can not say I have ever, or will ever experience what you have, whatever those abuses etc. may be. Believe it or not, I am slightly on the skeptical side when it comes to issues, ideas etc. I was about Amway as well. The "no negative downline" and "Amway is super" were just many of the things that caused and still may cause me to pause. (pardon the slight rhyme). I am sure there are many things that go on. =

Speaking frankly, in all honesty, I really have a hard time seeing what all the fuss is about. Buy things you buy anyway. Enjoy great products. Have a chance to make money. Learn business principles. Set goals. Learn to be more positive about people and life (Which is way different than what I encountered in my former Banking Environment). Etc. Etc. That is the core as I interpret it. Anyway, I do not mean to turn this into a lengthy diatribe. I just encountered your site on accident, and wanted to respond.

Regarding amway.com, I rarely visit it. Once or twice to see what it was like. Just a typical corporate page. I do not expect them, or any other company to share dirty laundry in that setting. Anyway, enough. I do not think I can ever know why you feel so strongly about it. I do not think I will ever come close, nor do I believe you will promote the good in Amway. Oh well! C'est la Vie!

I currently a teacher at a residential school for needy innercity kids. Been here almost two years. My wife and I got sick of the corporate banking life and wanted to do something more meaningful. It is a 7 day a week job. Many lovely kids, but just enough in your face types to make it tough at times. It has been good, but not easy. I am expecting my first child too. Pretty exciting.

Take care of yourself!

Part III

Hello there,

Very interesting stuff. Glad to see that you know quite a bit about it. I am going to be talking to my potential sponsor Tuesday. I will attempt to turn the situation around and ask him what he knows about all the dirt I scraped up from the internet is about. It should be interesting. That should be the day I tell him that Amway is not MY way.

Now one big question, that perhaps you cannot answer. Is there actually any good MLM companies/opportunities worth getting into? Let me clarify that - are there any good opportunities for the "common" person to be involved with? (in your opinion)

I am going through a pretty trivial time right now, and am wondering if I should actually continue to hope of a MLM possibility in my future. "EmpowerNet" is a great company with a good product and compensation plan. However, I think their plan is too good, and they will go bankrupt given a few years. Is all this good will wishing worth it? Or should I just drop it and go with a traditional career...

Thanks for spending the time with me, I greatly appreciate your help. You and your site (along with the links) are the best place I can get info on this.

Thanks again, and have a great week!

Re: Thanks for the Info

Hi there!

I am very aware you may find this E-Mail totally uneducated and pointless and find yourself disinterested in my situation at the end of this sentence although I have many questions about the facts and fictions of Amway. If this is Scam (which I think it isn't because it harmless chit chat) I am very sorry but I'm only 16 and am not familiar with the term. Don't get the wrong idea I am literate unlike some of the Amway distributors you have introduced to me. The thing is my mother is a very interested maybe future distributer who does not have the time to research or read the fine print but I have taken the liberty. I feel you have put out an excellent site with loads of helpful information and I would like to thank you for your efforts to educate those of us with marketing myopia. Your site has convinced me that there is another side to that charming man who gave his sales pitch to my mother and I and I am now very hesitant about this process. I have not read all the jargen about the advantages of Amway as yet but I still believe you have the right idea. If you have any other useful information for me I would be very pleased if you sent it to me at. **. Please do not underestimate the seriousness of my E-Mail for the fact that I am a minor unless you wish to involve yourself in the adults opinion of the countries vague youth.

Re: A Civil Action

[This was an interesting letter. I still can't decide whether it was meant to be a sincere warning, or a threat. . .]

During lunch I read some of your site regarding legal confrontations with Amway Corp. Amway is operating within the constraints of our judicial system. Whatever you feel their reasoning is, they are within their rights to do exactly what they are doing. u have the same rights they do.

I once heard that war isn't about whose right or wrong it's about whose left. Unfortunately our system of justice operates in much the same manner. If you haven't seen the movie "A Civil Action" I recommend you do so. [Unfortunately, I won't pay my hard-earned money to knowingly support Scientology or Scientologists. So I no longer watch movies that star Travolta, Anne Archer, Kirstie Alley, etc.] Amway has incredibly deep pockets and can affort a battalion of Johnny Cochrans to go against you from now until the earth crashes into the sun. Unlike the movie, Amway is accusing you, you are not accusing them.

I read many comments saying this or that is unfair and comparing their action to that of an armed robber. You seem to mistakenly believe that really matters in our judicial system. It doesn't. It's not about what's fair. (think about the OJ trial).

Do you think their is a law firm in America that would want to go the long haul to protect your first ammenment rights? Wake up and smell the supoena. I read a plea on Sydney Schwartz page asking for a lawyer who wanted to defend his first ammendment rights. If he hadn't already been turned down by every firm within a 200 mile ridius do you think that plea would be on his page? Law firms are about money they are not about your rights. They are going to compare your pockets to Amways pockets and wish you all the luck in the world. Now you may find an attorney who defend you for awhile. but only until you are drained financially.

If you fight Amway in court in the long run you will loose. Not becuase of who is right or who is wrong, what's fair and not fiar, but who can afford the best lawyers and who can afford to put up the longest fight. Like in war it is not about who is right but who is left.

Re: Your Site

I am intrigued by the information presented in your site. I am a graduate student focusing on public relations. My graduate work includes both journalism and marketing, and I am a team leader with Mary Kay Cosmetics.

My thesis will actually focus on the public relations problems associated with direct sales companies as a result of unmet expectations and excessive "hype" motivation of the sales force.

My question is this: I see a lot of press about Amway, Equinox, etc. Do you know of any published studies, scholarly articles or press which have challenged the marketing structure of Mary Kay Cosmetics with clear research and results. I'm not looking for press about those who have not succeeded in the business -- I can find that all around me. I'm looking for facts and numbers.

Thank you.

Re: Amway

I used to be a distributor and even made it to 2500 p.v. But then my downline moved etc and the business dwindled....I don't think I ever could have imagined how much money I invested. I was wondering if you knew the current URL for INA. That is what I was involved in and am just curious as to what they are saying now 5 years later. Thanks

Re: Countdown 91999

Can you confirm my suspicion that the http://www.countdown91999.com site is the new Amway internet mall venture? I received some propoganda regarding this site.

[Actually, it's Countdown 9199, and yes it is. ]

Re: New MLM

Looking for information on new MLM organization coming out of Topeka, KS. Calls itself AIM (Advantage International Marketing, Inc.) Founder was supposedly involved in other network organizations, but no mention made of which ones. Spouts these incredible tax saving projections and methods, most of which are legit, and relatively ocmmon knowledge. Have you read, heard or seen anything on this group? Thanks for any info, and or links to sources. Alan Jones, CPA PS. They really seek out CPA's, like we're some sort of validation if they get alot of us to join.

Re: MLM Scams

I was really suprised to see Melaleuca in your list of MLM Scams. Melaleuca is a comsumer direct company, not an MLM, that treats it's independant marketing people as business partners. The email's I scanned on your pages referred to tactics of other companies and I didn't even see Melaleuca listed in the email as a company that had given anyone any problem. Perhaps I missed it.

Unless honest marketing is a scam, I don't think that Melaleuca should be in your list because the people I have dealt with have been very honest about the cost, the marketing plan and the products. The 100% refund that is offered on EVERYTHING, including enrollment, is a sure sign of the type of company I choose to do business with.

[Melaleuca can call itself anything it wants: but its marketing plan qualifies it as an MLM, no matter how loudly the company protests that name.]

Re: Thanks

Just a short note to say thank you for standing up to The Big Bully Amway. Without free speach the truth would never be told. Also you have saved me from being one of their new found prospects. I had a meeting with an Amway agent today. I called him and cancelled the appointment. I am glad i decided to do a little research before i got sucked into their organization. I trully feel sorry for the all the good people that have bought into Amway. They are being mis-led.

thanks again,

Re: My Story Condensed

I was an Amway distributor for about 5 yrs. I never made the $ I thought I would and yes I spent alot of $ on mo. material. But I look back on that experience and see that I gained a wealth of knowledge about people, life & business. I was never told that I would make $ in Amway. I was told that if I developed people skills, worked hard & be honest success is possible.

I have found that to be true in life period. What a great thing to teach someone. I was taught through the Amway business that a good attitude will help me in life. It has. I was taught to respect my wife, children, parents & fellow man. What was funny to me was when I tried to talk to my fellow man about the Amway opportunity he didn't always have respect for me. All I wanted was to improve my life and show others how to do the same. To me that is the Amway plan. Well I stopped showing the plan because it seemed to me that most people don't want to step out and be different. That's o.k.

I did learn in the Amway business that owning a business of your own is the best way to take advantage of the free enterprise system. So here I am with my own business today applying the lessons I learned in Amway. You know what? They work. I believe you will find dishonest people in life anywhere you look. You choose to look at the Amway business. O.k. But wouldn't your life be more meaningful if you looked for the good in life. Oh yeah, I don't work for Amway or anyone associated with Amway and I am a very inactive distributor. Your response?

Re: Assante

what have you heard of this mlm co and also any info on bigplanet and nuskin

Re: Jerry Falwell

I found another occurrence of Mr. Falwell lying and gettting caught on tape. Goto: http://www.ifas.org/fw/9901/falwell.html

Apparently he has promised that if he ever got caught lying, he would resign as leader of his church.

Re: Immunocal Part I

Hi I may have found just the company I was looking for...IMMUNOCAL.. wondering if you had heard of them....Love your opinion..good or bad...lol.

I would be thank full for any adive you could give...

Thanks again.

Re: Melaleuca recruitment

I sure you get lots of email but just a quick question if I may. I have a fellow pestering me to have a presention at my home on the premise that he just wants my opinion on melaluca as a business option. He claims that melaluca is not a MLM.....how can he say this when everything I read points out that it is.Am I being fooled into thinking he just wants my opinion and is he just setting me up for a full blown recruitment seminar ? I would appriciate any info you can supply me with i.e. web pages There seems to be lots of stuff on amway but very little on melaluca.

Thank in advance

P.S. great web site....nice to see a web page easy to get around..and without a lot slow loading graphics.

[This business of inviting someone to a presentation because they "want your opinion" is an old, tried and true ploy of MLM recruiting. It's the one that was used on me when I first joined the Amway business during the 1980s.]

Re: Multi Level Marketing

I'm sure that there are a few reputable companies somewhere out there but I for one have not found one yet. I have been studying MLM for 3 or so years now (mostly reading alot) and, including yours, have heard some really scary things so fortunately (all of my reading habits instilled by a good mother at a young age) paid off! I will stay with my "regular" job at least until I meet my untimely demise because regardless of corporate "downsizing" (another term which is overrated) it's better than putting your faith and good intentions in something as hollow as all the promises associated with MLM in general. God help us all!!!

Re: Globalnet

I spent probably $10,000 or so. I went to Southern California twice for big events and to Sacramento probably 5 times for FED etc, Then went to at least a hundred local seminars and Saturday all day sessions. I look back now and realize that I basically invested 90% of every moment in my life to it for over 2 years. Even took a semester off of a Masters in Business program....Thanks goodness it was only one term and I went back the next and finished it. I would be happy to talk with you on the phone sometime, I have all kinds of stories, I was extremely close with an emerald and we worked together a great deal. I even sold several thousand dollars worth of amagifts to a car dealership once to use for one of their promotions. I have personally showed the plan to everyone from plumbers to orthopaedic surgeons. I just called the INA office and found out that the person I had worked with split off with some other diamonds to form globalnet. Have you ever heard of it and if so do you know about their web site and how I could check it out. Thanks

Re: Request for information

I'VE GOTTEN INFO ON A BUSINESS. BUT, OF COURSE, I'M WONDERING IF EVERYTHING IS ON THE UP AND UP WITH THESE PEOPLE. THE NAME OF THE BIZ IS FIVE STAR AUTO. BASICALLY THEY WILL LEASE A CAR FOR YOU FOR AFTER YOU'VE ACQUIRED X AMOUNT OF PEOPLE INTO THE BUSINESS. THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE YOU GET DETERMINES THE LEVEL OF CAR YOU CAN GET. EXAMPLE IF YOU GET 20 PEOPLE AND THEN HELP THEM GET 3 PEOPLE OF THEIR OWN YOU QUALIFY FOR A $45,000 CAR OF YOUR CHOICE, THEY CLAIM TO HAVE CONTACTS WITH THOUSANDS OF DEALERSHIPS ACROSS THE USA.

I'VE RESEARCHED FROM MY END WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE JUST TO NAME TWO SOURCES. I'M WONDERING IF YOU MIGHT HAVE INFORMATION OR ARTICLES ON THIS BUSINESS, THAT MIGHT GIVE ME SOME MORE INSIGHT ON THEM.

THANKS,

Re: changes international

Ive heard of this scheme, sounds pretty new. Your opinion?

Re: Lawsuit info, Part I

I was told by my upline Emerald that there was a lawsuit filed against our upline diamond, Tedd Fish (Theodore E. Fish). Supposedly, a group of Emeralds from Texas have filed suit against him for backing out of a speaking engagement. Does your site contain any information on this? I'm still new at surfing so I thought that I'd just e-mail and ask.

At the present time, I am contemplating the future of our family and "the system." My only problem with the Amway corporation is that they seem to have somewhat buckled under the pressure to "get a balance" (direct quote from the rules dept.) with the Yager system.

Thank you for any information that you can share. I do plan to ask our diamonds about this, but wanted to know if there were any newspaper articles, etc. that could provide some information. Although I have been reading some disturbing information concerning the Amway business and Internet, I can't deny that there is alot of good in our lives that has come from association with the business. Thank you.

Sincerely,

[Yes, there is such a lawsuit. It was filed by Joe Morrison et al vs. Tedd Fish and Andy Andrews. Both of these Amway Diamonds were scheduled to speak at a function put together by Morrison and his organization. Both reneged on their contracts. Apparently, the Big Boss Yager told them they couldn't help Morrison.]

Part II

Thank you for your response to my questions about the Fish lawsuit. I am very much troubled by all of this. For 9 years (our entire time in the business), there has been a check in my spirit about so many things. I have never felt comfortable "plugging someone in" to the system. I don't mean this to sound arrogant at all, but I knew that when I read a book or listened to a tape, it was with a discerning eye. I was fearful that they might believe it all just because it was in print or on tape. I wanted to burn Mike Murdock's book, The Double Diamond Principle! Will you be adding the information about the Fish lawsuit soon? Would it be possible to e-mail it to me? Thank you so much.

Sincerely,

Re: Amway, Part I

William Jefferson Clinton Shook his finger at us and said he never had sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky. The president lied to his family and his friends. They stood by him. And then the truth was revealed. Don't you think they felt betrayed. I am afraid that soon you too will feel betrayed when the truth is known. I am imagine Sydney won't be successful in getting the ACLU to help him because he isn't being sued -- yet. Tacky of him to want a free lawyer!! Sometimes one must be accountable when spreading false information based on gossip from lazy people. [False information from lazy people -- like lawsuits by Emeralds, Diamonds, Triple Diamonds against their upline and Amway. Like personal knowledge and real-life experience gained while working for Diamonds. . . like Amway's own published information. . . newspaper accounts. . . Come on dude, wake up and smell the Nine to Five. . .] It's all hype. Wait and See. I also find it strange that Sydney and yourself only report of things that suit your position instead of whole truth. You see, newspapers and reporters are required to do that!!!! You risk your financial future when you report untruths!!

You sound sincerely like a decent person, just misinformed.

Have you ever been an Amway distributor in the Yager organization. [It's nice to know this writer is making all these allegations about the "falseness" of my site when he obviously hasn't even read it!] What is taught makes sense from a business perspective. I have been in business for 25 years and the recommended books and support materials are right on the mark. Any business success is up to the individual. Those who make it had to work hard and keep the right attitude (positive). Did you know that statistically 85% of traditional businesses (which usually has a significant investment) after 5 years in business. This is information provided by the Small Business Administration, A federal government agency. Those that don't go out of business usually produce a moderate living for most, and then there are those that devote 60-70 hours per week that make it big in a traditional business. Very risky to be in business for yourself. That's why most people have jobs.

Recommend that you watch a few Robert Schuyler programs.

Part II

I work closely with the Small Business Administration. I know that "statistic" is correct. 85% of new businesses fail within the first five years. Call your local SBA office. [Watch this site for further information about this "statistic.']

I admit I did not read your homepage. I have now. Therefore, I take back my statement that you are a nice person. You consider "facts" as the e-mails received. [Shows he didn't read my site. . . ] Have you ever verified any of those e-mails. God only knows where they come from. I guess your experience with Amway distributors was unpleasant. It is also painfully obvious that you have no experience in the regular business world other than as an employee. I recommend that you don't try because someone as negative as you are won't succeed which is why I recommended Dr. Schuler. Business now are focusing on the positive, looking at situations in the positive especially when dealing with their employees. Negatives eat people up and make them miserable. No one is productive when a negative attitude dominates their life. [I guess "negative" and "don't agree with this writer" must be synonymous.]

Your homepage cites various articles on things distributors have done that were illegal. There are always a few bad apples in the barrel just like in every organization. Is that a concept too hard for you to grasp?

Best of luck in your search for the bad things in life. The nightly news does that too. It creates bigotry and hatred. I guess that is your purpose as well. [Really? Then how come I'm not the one doing the name calling and getting all huffy and defensive???]

Re: Help Me

Help me. Ive been introduced to amway. Ive looked into it and I was really getting interested till I found your site. Thank god. I havn't done it yet, now the problem the person that is trying to get me in it is a nice person and im worried about his failure, do you have an idea of what to do. How do I tell him no and that I think he should get out of it? Thank for your time, id love for you to write me back if you could. Thank you so much for making this page.

Re: Need Help

My sister has been sucked up in to the Amway scam, cult, whatever..I want to help her she sounds like a loon when I talk to her. She's quiting her job and MOVING away from her family to be CLOSER to these FREAKS.She has managed to alienate most of her family..except me,I fight with her all the time about this.I need toget her out before she ends up like so many of the stories I have heard on this site. Can anybody help me its like she's brain washed........What are they doing to her...How can I help her?

There are many groups using the Amway sales and marketing plan. I can't speak for all of them, but I know that I have never been forced to buy any tools. I started the business with only the business kit which cost $150.00, and proceeded to use the shopping system to save time and money. After the first year, I decided to build the business. I still didn't buy any tools, my sponsors lent tapes and videos to me. Eventually I did start buying tapes and books. It is true that you can buy books from the book store, and in my group if that is your choice, so be it. As a matter of fact, many in my organization had positive mental attitude books purchased from book stores before they entered the business. We still promote lending tools to or organization until such time as we help them to build an organization.

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion. And I would ask those people who believe that Amway is a scam, did you not know that being in business means selling products and services for profit? It doesn't surprise or anger me that Direct Distributors and above make money from the sales of tools. They promote the tools and receive a commission, just as distributors promote products and receive a commission. My boss received a $3000.00 bonus even though she ignored warnings from employees that her fiscal director was incompetent, and had to fire the fiscal director when she embarrassed the both of them with her incompetence in a Board of Directors meeting. Now that angers me! People getting downsized from companies that downsize for greed rather than need, that angers me.

The fact is that Amway is a legitimate business opportunity. It is 2nd only to Microsoft in the number of millionaires it has developed. How many millionaires has your employer or business developed? Anyone entering into this type of business or any other has to look at it realistically. If you are hesitant, don't pay your money! Ask questions and try it out before investing.

The Diamonds obviously have done something right to achieve that level of success. It is the responsibility of the rest of us in the business to learn what they did to achieve the success. Instead of blindly following them, we have to decide what we are willing to do and do it. I don't doubt that there are some people out there who done some unethical things. You will find those people in all walks of life and in every endeavor you pursue. And there comes a point in your life when you have to take responsibility for the decisions you make. Those people who thought they would buy a business kit for X amount of dollars and ended up spending double that for books, tapes, etc could have said "I only want to buy the kit and try sponsoring before I buy these other things".

All organizations in Amway are not the same just as all people involved in any other business are not the same. It is unfortunate that some have had a bad experience, and it is equally unfortunate that they would allow themselves to become skeptical to legitimate opportunities because of mistakes made by themselves and others.

Re: ACN

Thank you for responding to my e-mail. Actually, I did not have any specific question(s) regarding ACN. I was interested in what info. you had regarding ACN. Some of my friends have recently become involved in this MLM. I am of the personal opinion that ALL MLM's are inherently flawed. I was just curious about this specific company and would appreciate another point of view.

Thank you for your time.....

Re: Life with an MLM obsessor

I am married to a man who, for the last 3 years, has spent an average of $7,000. per year on different mlm's and earned an average of $400. per year. Our marriage of 9 years is quickly diminishing and I feel like I am at the end of my rope. We have been involved in long distance companies, "free" legal advise, "getting out of debt" programs (that one was a real laugh). can anyone out there help me or give me some advice on how to get this man to see the truth. it's ruining our marriage, my life and now he plans to suck my almost 18 year old son into this. he tells my son he may never have to work and he can sit home and collect checks!! how absurd is this. of course, my son believes him. My husband wheres buttons and shirts that claim you can earn $1200 in one week. he hasn't seen $1200 in 3 years. i am "desperate in **". can anyone out there help me????

Re: Reference to Scams

This type of marketing has been around for years. This type of distribution is unique as companies now across the world are looking to cash in on the home shopping revolution.Just because Amway have had to revise the way they do business in China, [see China Ban]does not mean that they have to alter the opportunity to the rest of the world.China is adamant to withhold and restrict people from learning and developing, as we have seen so much of in the past. That is why it surprises me when people discuss this with such uninformed opinions and make comments of this nature.

People should be made aware of the high street ,small business failure. Not because they do not work hard or want to make a success, but because the financial strain it develops to compete with the big corporations. It always interests me as to why people have such acrimonious comments to make about Amway, yet no better suggestion have been made as to what people could be doing to improve their financial status.Who ever wrote this nomore.scamz must be surely have their heads buried in the sand not to notice the changing world.People no longer have good jobs for life. Education is no longer followed by a great career. Certain people start out well only to be cut down to size as companies want to re-shape or make more profit. Do not misunderstand , business is there to achieve a profit. However the way money was made for example in the 80's is no longer a viable way of creating income, no matter how big or small. Why get on the bandwagon of showing how Amway do things wrong, please bare in mind the millions companies are investing in getting ready for home shopping, which is the new revolution.Have you forgotten the previous revolutions, farming, industrial, computer now followed by this way of doing business. Get a life and stop being so close minded .I suggest that you go to the library and read about the social trends that have happened and will happen in the future. If critics had had their way over the centuries there would have been very few new inventions or developments in the world. It was not so long ago when people said that computers would not have much use in our day to day life.Surprise, Surprise look what we utilise today.T.V home shopping is expanding rapidly.the world is in a state of accelerated evolution.New opportunities arise everyday.MLM is one of them.It is not the solution to all of society's problems, unemployment, stress, conflicts of the home and in the offices, but it is one solution. On a final note maybe you should get more hung up on the fact that China is the problem, they are holding people back and they are the ones who restrict and control . Afterall are you not lucky to be in the USA and have such freedom of choice. You at least can say no to the opportunity and not have a government decide for you.Best of luck for the choices you make in your life.

[Just for fun, I decided to count the "Ama-platitudes" in this correspondence. I have colored those phrases red so you can count them, too. :-) 1. High failure rate of small businesses: not true as presented by the AMOs. 2. no better suggestion. Sure, get a part-time job at 7-11. You'll make a lot more money, and not have to alienate your family and friends to do it. 3. No good jobs for life. True. And the unemployment rate is now down to 2%. . . 4. Education doesn't guarantee a good career. It never did. 5. The way money was made in the 80s is no longer viable. Huh? Let's see, having a job or a business, bringing home a paycheck (or profit), investing, saving, those are no longer viable? Gosh, we'd better run right out and tell the 98% of the people who are gainfully employed to stop right now. . . 6. "Critic" of course being anyone who disagrees with your point of view. 7. Yes, I am. And I am very unhappy about the fact that I have more freedom today to criticize my government than I do to criticize a private business.]
