Re: Interbiz

On August the 4th, I was approached by an Interbiz distributor. He showed me a scheme that looked very much like the "Amway" philosophy. He left me some tapes. I have listened to them and all I have heard so far is "vision" and "dream". They don't come down to the nitty gritty of sound business concepts one learns in business school. Is this the new Internet image for Amway? Will this version better distribute the company wealth to its members? I hope you can answer these questions as I am a bit reticent of purchasing the kit he has mentioned.

Re: Amway/Quixtar

I am a single mother of 3 and live in rural Kansas. I can not afford groceries for three teenage sons at a higher cost than the local Hypermart (that is a huge Walmart grocery store).

I became an Amway Distributor because of Quixtar Jun 22 or 1999. I paid only $59 dollars to enroll and recieve my distributors kit. I did also, this is an option, purchase a $45.00 product certificate to try the land mark Amway Products. (which I might add out preformed what I had thought was a smooth sales pitch and hype). For a total start up cost of $104.00 I then carefully looked through the personal shopper catelog.

I purchased ONLY what was cheaper in the catelog than in the store! I bought about 3weeks of groceries. After shipping and which was more than offset by no state sales tax, I came out over $80.00 ahead on a $300 dollar purchase. Plus I earned a commission.

As for the planned family friendly isp, I welcome it as does any thinking adult parent with children at home who are getting spammed porn daily. I do not believe they will filter other products, programs or ideas, just spam mail and porn. Hurray, and AMEN!

PS. I have seen some of the store fronts that will be in the quixtar mall. Before you pronounce judgement I suggest that you go to one of the prelaunch meetings and see them for yourself. We are going to make very good money. It is a shame you wont be with us.

Re: Quixtar

Help!

My brother-in-law emailed me the other day to say he would be in town to go to some meeting about this "new, exciting Internet business" called Quixtar. I read the trades and sites like news.com and couldn't recall hearing about it.

He invited me to attend the meeting... adding (and this is the part where I need your help) that Microsoft had invested in the company ($50 million).

First, I'm not interested in Amway's (Quixtar's) business. I already have a successful web business. I own and distribute the "product". No MLM, no pyramid. My question (so that I can correct my brother-in-law) is this: As far as you know, is Microsoft an investor in this?

I find it hard to believe it would be.

Thanks in advance for your quick reply.

I cant believe i am writing this. You obveously know everything there is to know about this business so i will not try to argue with you. My only question is with all this free time you have to gripe about how bad the world is and how bad mlm and direct marketing why, dont you spend your time a little more productive. Unless you just get off on finding the faults in everything else. I am sure you have already picked out every eror in this letter. My grandfather always sais the faults you most see in others are most likley your biggest faults.

It seems to me like you have the business figured out like few people do. There are good and bad people in every business. With your knowledge of the business why dont you start your own and make it a good one.

Please dont take this letter as a hahaha i told you so, or another person telling you you dont know what you are talking about. I just dont understand your anger. Im only 22 Ive lived in a number of families and one of them where amway distributers. I saw them struggle to build the business. I bet if you asked them to do it all over again they would. I am not trying to put you down but at least they love what they do. I think that is what counts. But hey i guess maybee you love what you do. I dont care what you do but i dont think it is cool to go and kill peoples dreams. I believe it is better to have a dream than not to otherwise why are we here. Some peoples dream is to get to heaven some to own a big house others to have friends and family and other just to feal excepted.

any way i guess you won, you got me to write in and support your web site. i cant believe im sending this

any way i hope you have a better day. Life is to short to gripe about the problems even if you get paid for it

Re: Quixtar

I have found your site interesting. I have this guy at work trying to get me into Amway with this Quixtar thing. I have told him a dozen times to drop dead. I got burned once about 22 years ago by Amway and really have no interest in it. They of course live on hype so I did a search on Quixtar, paged through all the glory sites about how great it is and finally found your page. It will take a while to read everything but I will. Has Amway changed after 22 years or is it the same shark infested water that it was then, that is all I really am searching for so I can really tell this guy to get lost. A straight answer would be much appreciated. Thank you for any help!

Re: Who Cares?

Who cares where his income comes from. I know personally what percentage of my income comes from the Amway/Quixtar business and what is system income as well as my real estate holdings as well as other business ventures that we are involved in. The point is, we are talking about free enterprise. Every IBO started with the same kit, the same opportunity, to do with it what ever they can within the same set of guidelines. I don't understand people who have to bash other's success because they were not willing to put in the effort, focus on their own goals, to be successful. I'm not where I want to be but I know whose fault it is, it's mine. Every success that I have had in my life involved knowing why I wanted to do something, setting long term, short term goals, knowing what my obstacles were and knowing that I would have to overcome them, and keeping track of my daily activities make every day count toward my end ofjective.

The great thing about the Amway business is that anyone can get in. The bad thing about the Amway business is that anyone can get in. Those with that are willing to focus on their goals and put forth consistent, persistent effort in the free enterprise environment can succeed. No scam, just the free enterprise system that this country was founded on, not a welfare state that gives a hand out, rather it gives a hand up.

Don Storms understands the free enterprise system and has taught it to hundreds of thousand of people, many who have achieved financial freedom.

I wish you well. Negative destroys the person who sends it worse than the person who receives it. Have a God blessed day and a positive, happy tomorrow.

Re: Quixtar

I went to a "meeting" that used a lot of AA terminology and had no real "meat" in the message. Prior to the meeting my "sponsor" told me the investment price was $316. I wanted to ask so desperately how they arrived at that number. But, when my friend picked me up the cost was only $250. Now I read on your site the cost elsewhere is much less. I am liking this less and less.

I look around the packed room at a Hilton in Tampa, Florida, and saw a lot of people who looked like they could not get jobs in the professional mainstream. Many handicapped. This might just be a blessing to them. My prime interest was to shop on the net which suits my time schedule and needs. The income was secondary, but was interesting since I am looking to dabble with ecommerce as a sideline.

Apparently I asked too many questions, especially since they initially were hawking that groceries could be purchased on line. At the meeting it was specifically mentioned by Thomas, who seemed almost diefied by the (unwashed) masses, that groceries were not going to be available at the inception, 9/1/99.

My question to you all out there who are more versed in ecommerce. Is there a buying service, site, whatever that is credible. I don't need the hype. I need the convenience. Thank you for your time and efforts to clear up this matter.

Re: Amway

These websites do offer some understanding to your claims, but what solution is better? Working for someone else for the rest of your life and paying *their* paycheck, buying a franchise for a name lease and having the company have their say (like Amway, no less. Guess all jobs are a cult.).

I agree that there are no easy solutions. Prudent risk is necessary in any venture. I say "prudent" because it looks like you didn't have a mind of your own in the ten years of the business. Unfortunately, spending all that money on tools that were unnecessary *will* make you more worse off than you started. You don't *have* to do anything your upline tells you. There are numerous things that can work in this business, and I'm a firm believer that honesty is the best policy. Be honest to yourself, be honest to your business, and be honest to your prospects. And above all else, don't forget what you want out of life, because that makes life worth living.

So whatever works for you, I hope it matches up with your dreams and desires. I hope it isn't entirely based on tearing down Amway. That would make you a martyr.

I have two words for you and your efforts:

Ha & Ha

p.s. No matter of your tactics, I'm still a 25 year old retired guy.

Gotta go, Jesus loves you anyway and so do I !

Re: Amway

Part I

My previous comments on Amway's distribution networks in the Peoples' Republic of China were in no way a blast at you. It just seems illogical to me that Amway creates a threat to anyone's lifestyle. I was quite intrigued by your reader's e-mails on the "tools" business, however. I am an Amway IBO, and after a year-and-a-half in this business, during which I've made nothing, due to my lack of time, I went to a weekend function in Reno, Nevada. It was actually kind of fun, although expensive, but I did notice some things which stirred my thoughts about the "system". I saw for the first time, the "ambots" who poked tape recorders in the faces of any DD who opened his or her mouth. The "groupieism" over the "big pins" was rampant. I saw lots of wives sobbing onstage. I found myself getting wooed by the experience, however, and actually I enjoyed the church service, which was the best part for me. When the people I was hanging with (my sponsor, his crossline, etc.) were getting hungry, my sponsor's upline, who shall remain nameless, said, " Everyone on the (nameless) Team, meet us at the restaurant for dinner". I asked myself, how the heck did I wind up being on this guy's "Team"? Just because he sponsored my sponsor? I thought I was an IBO, an independent guy, not in some self-named group. The guy hadn't even talked to me in months. At the function, this same guy told me to "soak everything in" and then he gave me his business card, and told he was ready to help me if I needed him. This is also the first time he ever offered to help me with anything.

I was still fired up, regardless. However, your web page, which at first I might have blown off as a typical "negative site", caught my attention concerning the "tools" business. What an eye opener. I'm not a dumb guy, but I was so caught up in the emotionalism of everything that I didn't think upon that which I already knew: that audiocassettes can be made for as little 50 cents each, and I was being banged $7.00 a pop! Non profit corporations qualify as non-profit when their revenues don't exceed their operating costs. Where do the profits go? Into executive salaries, obviously! What a gold mine! Suddenly, the whole question of the "ambot", "ameroid" mentality and the method of getting people to buy this stuff came into focus. I was brought back into reality.

Now the paradox (at least for me):

I believe that Amway is in itself a good corporation in that it makes quality products. I am a product user, and I have been satified with the results of everything I've tried. I believe that most of the products will either perform as well as the competion, and are cheaper to use, or will outperform like products for only a slightly higher cost. The biodegrability of the products, including the containers, are also a plus. Amway also sells high-quality items from their Personal Shoppers Catalog (no savings there, but really good stuff). That's not a problem.

When Quixtar was announced, the big networking corporations muscled Amway into making the site compliant with their marketing "systems" (I saw this to be true at the Reno function). However, Quixtar has a "back-door" (my terminology), which, while more expensive, will insure that members or IBO's can work their business independent of any upline, including direct fulfillment from Amway, if desired. Upline bonuses remain the same, but the interaction can be cut off. I think World Wide and others may have fought this, but they lost.

Where the problem lies for me is in the way Amway has allowed their reputation to be damaged, through their association with the huge networking conglomerates that have been allowed to exercise more than some control over the direction which Amway is currently taking. However, I think there is still honest money to be made. And if I stopped buying products and services from any company with sins in their past, I'd have to grow my own food and drive a horse and buggy to work.

My answer is simple: run the business the way Rich and Jay first intended it--as a retail business which sells fine products, and then build slowly on that. Rubyships are and can still be attained that way. Prepare to take five years of reasonable effort to get that Ruby. Blow off the big networking groups. Spend the time with your family. Personally, it could have cost me over $2000.00, and lots of relationships, had I not come across this page. Some material can be gleaned from some of the recorded tapes, which I will offer, but never force, on my partners. Don't be an Ameroid! Promote the Core Line--L.O.C. is still the best and cheapest general purpose cleaner out there--even my truck loves it. Help people keep the money they make by putting it into savings, CD's, or their homes, not into some Diamond's tool business. Read a couple of good small business management books or take a night course. Don't waste your money on visualization trash. Read the Bible instead. Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People is also OK. And if you don't like it, quit. No flak from me. That's the real business. If it works, make a noise to Amway and the rest that there is another alternative to the "system". Perhaps they'll even listen.

Sincerely,

Part II

The more I find out about the "Dutch Boys", the less inclined I am to sell any of the six good products they do make! When I think of Jim Head, bawling like a baby onstage, and making us promise our Holy and Righteous God that we would be CORE, I just want to puke!! And I almost went for it. Now I have a truly inside view of what a cult is like.

May be the Chinese are smarter than us. After all, they've managed to steal our missile technology AND clamp down on the Amway mess. Amway can take their business and put it "where the sun don't shine". Thank you for the wake-up call!

Part III

Re: Amway

Since our last contact, I must tell you, the more I find out, the worse it gets. I think Rich and Jay are totally compliant with the tool biz, because they realized 30 years ago that the MLM sales structure isn't a feasible way to run a business. Although de Vos openly spoke against the tool business in his "Directly Speaking" address, the Dutch Boys have since realized that direct selling is an inefficient means for a person to retail commodity products, and the constant recruitment of new IBO's is the only way to keep the money flowing in an organization like an Amway MLM structure. Small money by direct sales is possible, but the big money is in recruiting and the only way AMO's can hold things together is by brainwashing, excuse me, "motivation". The fact Amway KNOWS that over 80% of their products are consumed by distributors proves it. And then they respond by banging these poor people for all they can get with their outrageous prices. They gouge their own IBO's! Rich and Jay are just as guilty as their AMO partners. All of them should go jail!

Thanks for listening,

PS: You can post this if you wish.

Re: Quixtar

To whom it may concern,

My name is **. I am a college student. I was introduced to Quixtar by a friend of mine who heard from a co-worker. After getting the original speel from my friend I went to check out what other people were saying about Quixtar. What I found...including your website and others, gave me all the information I needed to stay away from this particular business venture. But my problem is convincing my friend not to get duped by promises of getting rich quick. I've read him all the information I could about what kinds of shady business practices conducted by this company, but he doesn't seem to be listening to me. I would like your help in trying to convince him not to get drawn in. Any more information you could provide would be very helpful. He is planning on attending a second meeting with these Quixtar people in the near future and wants me to attend the meeting with him. I plan to go, if only to introduce some of the information that I have found in hopes of convincing my friend to drop this idea. Thanks for any help you can give me Sincerely,

Re: Quixtar

To whom it may concern,

I just wanted to thank you for saving me a lot of time and trouble. A "friend" called and described this exciting business opportunity by a new company partnering with Microsoft and IBM to setup this "incredible new e-commerce site" and big bucks were to be made. It sounded fishy, but you never know these days. So I went online looking for Quixtar and luckily ran across your site.

Once I learned Amway was involved I knew all I needed to know, but I perused your site and found it quite intersting. Thanks so much for maintaining it, I hope many others find it and are spared a lot of sorrow in doing so.

Sincerely,

Re: Quixtar

I would just like to say that I really enjoyed your website. I would like to share with you my story, because I want to know if it is like anyone elses.

It started last week, I was shopping at a Wal-Mart of all places, and this guy started a conversation with me. I mentioned that I had a computer science degree, and he comes back and asks -- "I know this is kinda a shot in the dark, but are you interested in e-business? My company might be expanding soon." Being a computer science major, this perked some interest, and I gave him my phone number. Sure enough, I got a call this week, and they were in fact expanding. And also there was a big meeting planned for the next evening, could I come? There were going to be "senior partners," and the whole thing was funded by "wealthy investors." It all sounded kind of weird, but I didn't have anything else to do, so I went.

Well, this "meeting" was actually a conference, with an info-mercial type feel. I was put on the "consideration list," and introduced to many of the "senior partners" before the presentation began. The presentation started well enough, with some facts about e-commerce that I had known before. Then they started to get into the Quixtar bit, and that is when things started to get a little fishy. Then they paraded a bunch of people who had already had success on the business model, without using the internet. The night ended with them handing me a video, and a meeting was scheduled for the next day.

Well, I did some research at work the next day, on the internet. I'm glad to know that my suspicions were well based...the moment I saw Amway and Quixtar in the same sentence, I immediately cancelled my place in the meeting. They knew ahead of time I'm a college graduate -- did they think I was dumb? I took an entrepreneurship course at school, and from that I know that their model won't work. I won't go into why, but there are several reasons.

So now I feel a little foolish, but mostly proud that I was able to smell this thing out before I gave them any money. They only took about 2 hours of my time away from me. But hey, I have a video now that I can use to record shows and stuff, so I guess that's a bonus.

Any comforting words would be appreciated.

Re: Quixtar

I just joined Quixtar because of the explosive potential. I wanted to hear some "bad" news, so I found your website, which I think is great. I have one question though- How do you lose money in this venture? Please have some one answer that for me, so I can decide if I should jump ship!

Re: Another Opinion

This is not meant to be a spam (as you put it "...uninvited, obtrusive, and all-too-often promoting some scam or another...") but merely an opinion. I do not intend to promote anything, just offer a different point of view. I found your site interesting albeit very one sided which, perhaps, is its purpose. It's amazing how one can pull negative out of anything if so desired. I'd like to offer an alternative point of view if you're open to that.

Having once been a member of 'INA', I know some people choose the 'curiosity' approach to the business. We've never done so. And Amway does not condone such an approach either. A-Corp. does what it can, as would any other large corporation, to protect its good name. Yet there are those who are unethical in business and do what they want without regard for the rules and regulations of the business. We've been signing people up for the pre-launch and told them specifically that they would be getting into Amway now and would have the opportunity to add or update their membership to either include or switch to Quixtar. Not everyone chooses to do that and we respect and honor that choice. Many choose to wait until the roll out of Quixtar. Amway and Quixtar, while both owned by the same families, Quixtar being of the newer generation, are separate companies. Why would Quixtar model its business practice after Amway? Because Amway's model has worked for many years. After 40 years, why is it still here? Why is Quixtar contracting with Amway to use its distribution system? Because it's already in place. The difficulty many internet companies have experienced today has to do with distribution of goods. If there's a system that's already in place, and is available, why not use it?

Bottom line here is this: Amway is a good business. There are, however, those distributors who choose not to operate up front and honestly. It is important to focus on the people, not the company. We've run into those people from time to time and believe me, we are in agreement with you. Thank you for all your information (which, by the way, needs a hefty update). Skepticism is good. It keeps people asking questions. And FYI...regarding that 'family friendly ISP', wouldn't it be nice to have an ISP that does not flash advertising banners or accept porn solicitations? I'd say that's pretty family friendly. Best of luck - and go get those spammers!!

Re: Quixtar

Hi, My name is **, i'm from * Canada, And I had experience with QUIXTAR!!!

First I want to say, this site it's great site and I learn a lot about MLM, I think there is a lot of stuff in the site that everybody should Know.

I had a couple of friend who was in those kind of Busineess, and I've been approach several time to be part of Amway, And every time depending of the people who was talking at the begiining it seem to be the great deal in the World. But when you start to think more about it, it's look like to be TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, and personnaly I'dont beleive in EASY MONNEY, I think in this world nothing it's free you got got nothin for free, I more beleive in hard working, and patience.

Since last week I never been approach or hear anything about AMWAY. A couple day ago, my cousin and her husband contact me for big opportunity about e-commerce, and the know that i'm involve in computing and internet a lot, actually i'm a computer consultant. I said it will be great to know more about it, I know that e-commerce it's the future for the 10 next years. So I accept to go to a meeting close to my neighboordhood.

So I went there was A lot of people, it was packed. It was a nice conference place, they was a ot of people well, dress it look like very professional, I used to those kink of meting. So at the first look, it seem like "this is not a joke but something really serious and professional". So I take place, And start to listen the conference man, At the beggining it start to talk about internet and e-commerce who was and will be the future of the world and it's now or never to be part of it.

So far so good everything seem to be ok, and told us that there is a new Compagny Quixtar, who offer us to be part of this dream. He told Us that compagny it's reay serious and have a partnership with Big Name Like IBM, Microsoft, etc.. But this not really impress me because I'm invole a lot in the computing world, and I known, that Microsoft and IBM, get invole with everybody or business, who had a chance to make money, just for advertising so every body see Microsoft or IBM and that way the compagny or people buy Microsoft or IBM product, Actually almost anyone on anybody can have a partership with Microsoft this is not really a Big deal.

So he carry on to talk about internet, and told use that the compagny also offer a internet service connection, adresse email ,Web space and tools to be able to build personels Webs for about 50$/month. But for me it was not a big deal, actually there is a ot of compagny who offered more competive and better service.

So I was kind of deceived, I heard something that open my eyes, He said pretty fast and gently the word AMWAY, that Quixtar have some kind of relation with AMWAY, and that was it for me, I know that Quixtar is may not the BIG DEAL it look like.

So after a couple of minute, I quit, I know what they going to talk about, And I decided before to make a decision I should make couple of research about QUIXTAR. I call my cousin who was trill because I went to the meeting, and ask me what I think about, the compagny, If will like to get involved or to know more about it, I told her I don't kwon yet, I will like to make a couple of research before. She told me if i'm not interest to be a member i can be a customer and she have a lot of product she can offer me. I told her that surely seem to be interresting, and I ask her a web site to know more about Quixtar, she refer me to www.quixtar.com.

So, I start my searching in the internet, At the begining I alway find site who are greeting Quixtar, telling that Quixtar it's the bigest deal actually we can find on the market and we got nothing to lost and every body should be part of it. And I start to think, It is maybe the deal that everybody was waiting for.

So, I carry on my searching and I found finnaly a site who start to tell us the truch about AMWAY and his relation with Quixtar and all the doubt I had was cofirm by them.

And now my probel, it's to see my cousin and her husband to be so involve in Quixtar, and don't know what to do, If I should let them by themself discover to truth about Quixtar, or give them the cruel and painfull information I found about Quixtar. I know they already invest a lot of monney and time, in Quixtar. And I also ask my myself, shoud I not give at the least a chance to Quixtar, maybe It can work.

I know the answer it's on my hand but will like to have a second or third opinion..

Thank you, for devotion to that cause

P.S. Sorry for my english this is not my first tongue...

Re: Quixtar

I have read most of the stuff people are all up in arms about, but as of a week ago we (IBO's) have all the details as to cost, makeup of the business structure etc. Sorry to disappoint the doom sayers but its all ok. Regards

Re: Quixtar

Hi. You need to check back in and see whats really going on.I just recently Became a Ibo. And i am very happy. In all the articles i have read It is people complaining about something that hasnt even opened yet. And yes alot has changed since the beginning . You have to go to school to learn, then go to college to get a degree. Well the tapes, meettings and seminars are basically a school to teach you how to do it .And not make the same mistakes they made. The same things basically we teach our children Now its the same as school if you dont go in willing to learn. You will not learn .And no everyone may not be succesful at this. But i havent heard of anyone who was at gunpoint to get in. So they feel they have been taken for a ride. And where they said they wasted money on the tapes. How can they be a waste to better yourself. i know for a proven fact they are helping me.Maybe they feel they dont need help changing, but everyone can use a few changes. And the ones for the better is the ones that i would prefer. And also they dont say you have to buy the books from them you can buy them at your local bookstore,as far as that goes. And the tapes to me are very interesting. Hearing that normal everyday people were able to do this.Without a high grade education or some type of degree. Because i myself have neither. And not in one of the tapes have i heard them say you have to do this and you will be rich. They tell you how they did it.No different then starting a job. They tell you what they did.And raising a child You try to help them not make the mistakes you made And i myself am all for that.People helping other people is what the world should be about.Instead of worrying about is the person beside you at their desk getting your job.i would much rather prefer to work with people that are willing to help me to grow and even pass them in the business.but i havent seen that happen in the corporate world . Have you ? And to get to the top you must work and i have not been told it was easy. But i am very willing to learn how and work hard And i know for a fact that i will be succesful. And how can you expect all questions to be answered before it opens you cant.If you buy stock in a new business , You dont know how it is gonna do . But you do take a chance.Did you see walmart being as succesful as it is today . No you didnt or you would have bought stock. And yes of course everyone has questions, And they all will be answered in due time .And i myself am willing to wait .

Re: Melaleuca

Just wanted to say nice job with the page updates.

I no longer actively order from Melaleuca. Unfortunately, they will continue to send a "back up order" until I get a chance to inform them in writing. It used to be if you didn't order for two months in a row, your account was automatically closed. No more. My friend, and only customer withdrew in May. What I didn't realize was that she had been fighting with Mel over when to place her order for the past few months. After the 25th, the company automatically charges you for a back up order and ships it out. Twice, she asked that the package be delayed until the 30th (her payday) insuring that money would be in the account. Mel refused. Then, she was billed for the final package sent May 25th. She had already cancelled her account over the phone, but the written notice didn't arrive to Mel until May 30. Unfortunately, she should have signed the post office receipt "refused" and asked the postmaster for a copy. But since it was returned as 'unclaimed' Mel still tried to charge her checking account. I also found out that the customer service reps were rude to her when she called about the final package. They claimed she was responsible for confirming it was returned. She said they shouldn't have sent her the package in the first place, since the cancellation notice was received. When she called to cancel, they simply switched her to "direct" meaning she was expected to order at least every other month.

It took a while to straighten it out with the bank. She had to keep the account as low as possible until they blocked Mel from withdrawing the payment. On top of that she had to pay bounced check fees. Thank goodness she didn't take it out on me personally.

For anyone who asks, Melaleuca is an MLM. They don't like the term, but that is how the commission structure is set up. They also have a new point system. If you are at a certain level, you can't sit back on your laurels. You have to earn points for helping your customers with presentations and the like. Your commission is effected by the points you earn. If you planned to use your Mel commission to retire, forget it. The slogan used to be "Build a business to last a lifetime." Now, it's "Spend a lifetime building your business." The only way for the company to maintain it's growth is to keep everyone working. You don't retire from Mel. You can retire from any other job but that one.

Re: Quixtar

My brother is really getting hooked on this Quixtar Business. What should i do to help him?

Re: Quixtar Launch Date

Thank you for putting this site together. The information I got from your pages helped me get my sister out before it was too late.

Re: Quixtar

Hello I came across your web site while looking for information in regards to Quixtar.com. Some family members of mine have bought into the company but I can not seem to get any real information about the company. Who started it? Who is backing it? And how is it that you make your investment and stay in the loop as to how much money you are personally earning? Please send any and all infomation that you have in regards to this company. Thank you,

Pardon my ignorance, please, but what exactly is the purpose of your web page? What MLM were you involved in? It seems to me that most pages of this sort are put up by individuals who, for whatever reason, just couldn't seem to make their particular MLM work for them. Get over it, because I seriously doubt you'll be successful at anything else with the kind of attitude you are displaying by having a page like this.

Re: Equinox

Hi there!

I am writing this message with trust that my name will be left out. Thank you.

I am an ex-Equinox disciple! I spent 5 years of blood, sweat, and many tears building an orginization with that company. My wife and I left the company back in November of 1997. At the time that we left, we were Executive Directors, watching our checks dwindle from 15K per month to 3K or 4K per month. Yes we did experience some success, but all that we traded for it was worth much, much more.

Today I am celebrating.

I read this morning that the government has shut down Equinox, with a temporary restraining order. All the years I listened to Bill Gouldd teach about "The scales of balance", I started to question if they were real. But today I see, they are real. Bill Gouldd's scales of balance have caught up with him. The train has come to a stop.

What's scary is, I can tell what he is probably already doing. He is rallying his troops and telling them.......

"Dont wory, It's just a speed bump. We'll get through it. And when we do, it will actually be a benefit to our company. Then EVERYONE will know that we are truly a lugitament company, and all you F****'s that don't freak out like a bunch of P*****'s will get extremely rich. The ones that stick with me will be the ones that become multi, multi millionaires. So who's with me?"

Any one who knows Bill Gouldd will probably laugh at that, cause they know that's what's probably happening.

While you're surfing the net in your cozy little jail cell, Bill, reading this, and I'm sure more emails to come, let's see you get out of this one!!!! Oh, by the way? Did you bring some of your "Body Wash"? You sure don't want to bring any soap bars that you might drop while in the shower!!!!!

It will be almost comedic to hear what you have to say now!!!!

Ha Ha Ha!!!

Have fun Billybob!!!

Re: Equinox

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is David Warren, a subscriber to your ezine and frequent visitor to your site.

Upon review of your posted email pages it appears many of your subscribers/visitors inquire about Bill Gouldd and Equinox.

For this reason, feel compelled to provide you with an update per recent suit filed against Equinox International.

Following an ongoing joint investigation enforcement agencies have taken action against Equinox and closed the shop down on Friday past.

Refer to Las Vegas Review Journal article, below.

Please understand that although I must wait until Monday to confirm details with FTC and Nevada AG's office, and pending final action, for all intents and purposes Equinox vehicle is now deceased. IMHO, its over!

So to speak... Bill Gouldd's nightmare has only just begun.

In closing, I just want to congratulate you on a job well done. Keep up the great work! ;-)

Sincerely,

Re: Quixtar

I came across your information on AMWAY's new Quixtar.com. It sounds to me like you don't know what you're talking about. I am an IBO and I access AMWAY products. Anyway, I know about the Quixtar. It will not be AMWAY products. It is not AMWAY. AMWAY got together with Microsoft and IBM and put this together. It is going to be the biggest on-line shopping mall. It will have services from stores such as Victoria's Secret, LandsEnd, etc. Those are not AMWAY products. And yes, AMWAY distributors have access. They get everything cheaper than people who just wander in. All a distributor needs is their IBO number. That's it. So, I think that you should get your facts before you go saying things about Quixtar.

Re: Quixtar

Thanks for replying so promptly. They did not in fact tell me that Bill Gates was a partner, but they did claim that IBM and Microsoft were major investors in their company. I did get to meet some "senior partners" before the presentation...this was one of my first clues that this might not be all it's cracked up to be. The "senior partners" just were not all that impressive to me. I don't remember any of their names, though.

Good luck showing other people the light,

Re: Quixtar

After reading your response I have decided to try it for a few months. I will NEVER spend one penny on motivational tapes or seminars! What can they do to me if I do not spend my PV, fire me? The new kit I signed up with was actually a Quixtar kit. [This is very curious, considering all the rampaging that VP Ken McDonald has done about the fact that the Quixtar biz isn't available until 9/1/99. . .] I totally agree that if someone gets "sucked into the system", they stand to lose. I just feel that with the free web space that Quixnet has provided for $15 a month, it is worth a shot. I also agree that to make the numbers they throw at you is totally unrealistic, but the internet can be a powerful weapon without having to ram the system down people's throtes. The merchandise is exceptional and the list of retailers that have already bought space on Quixtar is most impressive. I think for the $55 entry fee, I'm not taking a very big chance. People are going to buy from me because they want the products they need, not because I'm calling them up asking them to buy things they don't need. With the Christmas season right around the corner, what do I have to lose? I would greatly appreciate it if you could put me on some e-mail list to get updated information that may cause me to GET OUT! I thank you for your sincere response to my question, and look forward to hearing from you again!

Re: ACN

I love your page, thanks for all the great information. I almost shit myself when I saw that equinox is finally getting their due from the ftc. I was wondering if you've come across any stories or information about people involved in the american communications network? their big thing is signing people's long distance over to qwest, although recruitment was strongly emphasized. I didn't look at the fine print of qwest's terms, but I'd imagine there's an expensive catch somewhere. I went to an informational meeting merely to humour a friend of mine, and regretted it within five minutes. anyway, I think he's finally realized that there's nothign to be won from being involved. anyway, I didn't see anything on your site regarding them; just wondering if you knew anything. thanks for your time and the wonderful site.
