Re:
Quixtar
Noted a new book that the quixtar devotees are handing out it is by that childish VANITY PRESS author Berk Hedges. It is called dream-biz.com and you can guess that it is just the same old shit, only this time it is describing going out and helping people becoming financially independent using the most efficient way- technology. He refers to great companies such as INTERNET SERVICES, and even AMWAY, and mentions a paragraph or so on QUIXTAR. Anyroad, not a good read, I sat down and read it in 20 minutes, all 80 or so poorly written, poorly researched comments on where the internet is taking business. BROKE LOSER ANTI MLMer ANTI AMWAY, ANTI QUIXTAR (bigtime), anti-"make money off others by leveraging their hard earned dollar to make you a dollar before they see a cent"
Suggestion: every one against
AmwayQuixtar or what ever the hell this cult is called, hit the
Quixtar site over and over again, enough traffic should tie things
up for a while. L8R
Thank you for assuming.. but I have twenty years experience. It's too bad that you failed, is that the corporations fault or yours? We all have it in us to win, some of us just give up too early.
What a shame you're so angry.
You speak with hatred, anger and frustration. Your information
and finger-pointing are really sad. I notice you neglect to identify
yourself... Satan comes as an angel of light and deceives many.
Search your heart. We all win and lose in life, but winners pick
themselves up and move on. Bitterness and anger only harms ourself..
Re: Amway
Just a thought; If you'd pay attention to your own qualities and beliefs and not the faults of others then maybe you'd go somewhere in life. It's not what others have done, but what YOU can do. I feel sorry for those that only pay attention to the negative things in life and not the positive. If people were to listen to negative statements and the "beliefs" of others, we wouldn't have the Ford Motor company, men on the moon, planes in the sky. I guess that's why 95% of the U.S. work for someone else. Because the 5% that didn't listen to negativity and "the people," and believed in themselves, not what others had to say, are now very wealthy individuals. Me, well, Amway/Quixtar has set me free from having to work for someone else, it has allowed me to do what I want whether it with my family or on my own. I go and come as I please. I'm FREE, not tied down by a job, or even tied down by some business venture I went on. I don't have an alarm clock tied to my ankle. I have time to spend with my friends and family. What is better than that? I was scared of the name "Amway," but when I found out what they were all about, (freedom, physically and financially, family values, setting goals, reaching new heights for yourself, helping others) I knew that if nothing else, even IF I didn't financially gain from being apart of this business I would still get GREAT business techniques and people relations skills. So, at the very worst, I would still gain. Instead, I'm free of all the stress of deadlines and debt. All the headaches of employees or bosses. That's far better than the alternative.
Look at your abilities, what you can do. It's your life, I'm not trying to get you "into" this business, I probably wouldn't want to work with you, but no matter what you do in life, DO SOMETHING GREAT. Take risks, don't listen to those who haven't done something with themselves. Would you ask a guy who flunked out of medical school if it was worth it to become a doctor or for medical advice? NO, ofcourse not. You'd talk to a successful doctor. Before you make a decision, talk to someone who is there, the one that is successful, not the one that quit, all they will teach you how to do is quit. I hope I helped somehow, no matter what you do, even if you fail, it's OK, keep running, don't let failures beat you. They only help you grow. Have a great life, whatever your decisions are.
Best Regards,

Amway/Quixtar
We have just signed as IBO's and just came upon your web page. You have raised some concerns in our minds. Who are you? How do you know so much about Amway and Quixtar? We want to be sure we are getting accurate information from a reputable source. Please help!!!

Re:
Amway
After reading your story about the experience you had with Amway it seems as if the diamond that you worked for may have been less than honorable about his business. This may be the case in many diamond organizations, but not neccessarily all of them. Part of the core of the Amway opportunity is the ability to choose how you build your business for yourself, and it seems that there may be many who choose to overuse the "tools" as income instead of the primary business; however, the design of the business is still that the majority of the profits come from the sale of products. If you look at quixtar, you may notice that it will be easier to build a business with fewer tools and that there may be people that you sponsor personally and never meet face-to-face. This may help prevent the abuse of tools to the unknowlegable distributor.
I personally know that it only takes a handfull of distributors to produce enough profit to cover the tools used and if the person is "ready" for the success, AND they build it to a minimum of 1000 PV/month, the normal tools are paid for by the bonus check. The whole concept is to build it fast up to direct. I have built it fast befoe and I have also built it slow... when you build it fast, it pays off... when you build it slow, it costs you.
There are several things that it takes to build it fast... 1. A consuming DREAM... you HAVE to know what you want. 2. Maturity... the ability to accept responsibility for your own actions (and success or failure). 3. Faith... in yourself AND your upline (even if God is the only "upline" you associate with). 4. A steady income... you must have a means to support yourself while building any business. 5. Business sense... otherwise known as "Millionaire Mentality"; you have to keep all things in their proper perspective. 6. Consistancy... doing something on a regular basis for a long time. 7. Persistance... doing 1 million actions with a 25% accuracy is better than doing 1 thousand actions with a 100% accuracy. 8. A GOOD NAMES LIST OF "QUALIFIED" PEOPLE... The names on your names list will either make you or break you, and you must have enough names on it.
Please dont take these question offensively...
Have you ever been successful in owning and operating your own business, not including Amway?
If so, what type of business?
If not, do you think that it could be possible that you could be making your judgements about Amway based solely on a handfull of bad apples and a group of people who might have never learned about business ownership?
I have had my own retail business, and the principles that Amway uses are used in all traditional business... the only difference is that a weekend seminar in a traditional business may cost the independent business owner $1500.00 instead of $400.00 and in traditional business, there are more headaches, like employees, rent, marketing, payroll taxes, overhead, inventory, remodelling costs, insurance, and vendor problems. With Amway, the corporation handles all warehousing, shipping, employees, rent, payroll taxes, etc. the only area that a distributor handles is marketing.
Anyway, I hope that you will consider that not all the diamonds do business the same way.
I wish you and you children the best,
Thomas
Thank you for your honest and
well presented information.
Keep your opinion to yourself
Re:
Amway
whom ever it may concern:
I have read your ibo quotes and find them aweful myself. As an active ibo myself, I am very careful in utering nonsense. I try to say things that i can verify from amway itself not an ibo. It seems many are not as careful. However, remember, these claims are not amways; they are those of uniformed and exxagerating ibos. Please keep that in mind. Beyond all this non sense, the amway opportunity is a great opportunity and just that an opportunity, not a guarantee to riches.
sincerely:
Re: Quixtar
I think your negativity should be reserved until Quixtar has launched and given time to get going. I am a new IBO and have hopes that this will work. I dont need to do this for the money to survive because my job as a union electrician pays quite well but I find it exciting to get in on the ground floor of a new venture. I think of all the missed opportunities in my life and for $99.95 am not going to let this one pass me by because I believe it can work. The people who visit the site on 9/1/99 can decide for themselves if is a good deal or not.
[Actually, nobody could visit the site on 9/1/99 because they didn't have it working. . .]
Re: Amway/IBS
Sometimes I think that some people are just so upset with their own failures they have to point the finger at someone else. I've been involved with Amway and IBS for 5 years now and have been up and down the bonus chart like a yo-yo, all my own doing though. I've spent approx £3000 on self development books, seminars and tapes in this time and after this I would say that I would do it all again.
I started off 5 years ago as an accounts clerk and in this space of time through the guidance of my upline and friends have rocketed to success as a Financial Controller, Finance Director, saved 2 companies from failure and over 100 peoples jobs. My wife no longer works, we have moved from a 2 bed flat to a four bed detached home and have created a very profitable property company. so much so that I can retire at 33 in the year 2000.
And what have Amway and the people above gained from me for all their investment of time. Not as much as I have benefited from them. I am currently only making £50 per month in Amway after 5 years, but the success principles that I have been taught have helped and touched hundreds of lives outside this business.
It will be interesting to see if you put this on your board.
Regards
I got
to tell you that this seem to be a page for a bunch of strange
people, who need to get a life. One thing is for sure every one
of you has people who make money off of you. Sounds like you never
took time to learn for your self or you just are very weak, probably
both.
PLEASE DON'T RESPOND I CAN'T STAND WEAK NEGATIVE PEOPLE
You have a great memory. I love your site! Yours is the only one that is always updated. Can you believe I still work for him? I am completely out of the business now. Quixtar wont last. Its a new face but It seems most people can see through it. I have no intention of joining. I must go to work now, but I will write later:)
Re: USANA
I am sure you get a lot of emails. I am not sure if you will even read this one, but I want to share with you my experiences with network marketing.
I LOVE IT!!! I joined a company called USANA about six months ago. I was exposed to Amway, Quixtar, Equinox before joining USANA. I couldn't find any reasons not to join this company.
It is such a shame that some companies ruin the industry for the rest of us who see networking marketing as a worthwhile industry.
I hope you don't think this is a spam email. That was not my intention. I just wanted to share with you that there is someone out there who loves network marketing.
Thank You for your time
I
am just curious...why have you not stated in your web area that
there have been over 2,200 millionaires that have come from the
Amway business? [Ummm, how about "because it's not true.
. ."] Not to mention the thousands who have developed
6 figure incomes? I am not trying to be a smart aleck, I'm just
interested to know. By the way, there is no way you can call this
a spam. I am copying this in case you try something dumb.
Re:
Amway/Quixtar
I just wanted to thank you for your website. My friend and her husband joined what they told me was NOT Amway but rather Quixtar a few months ago. I am able to see through all the brainwashing mumbo jumbo they have gotten from Amway because of your website. They are still brainwashed to the point of believing they will be millionaires in 3 years. The only person they have been able to sign up on Amway is his fruitcake mother. It amazes me how my friend can talk about crazy her mother in law is and not relate that to who they have been able to sign up. My friend has been spouting really outrageous things that they have "learned" at the training sessions they go to every week. One of these things is that all Walmarts built in the midwest are being outfitted with residential plumbing because they know that the internet will put them out of business soon. Well, my husband works for a construction company and knows that no building inspector would pass a Walmart with residential plumbing in it. The reason for the residential plumbing, they say, is because the Walmarts will be turned into apartment buildings.
Again, thank you for your webpage. I have found it really educational and helpful in my conversations with my friend. I haven't told her where I have been getting my information and it is driving her crazy how I can spout what J.O.B. means when she hasn't told me yet!
Thank you,
Re: Quixtar
I just finished reading several articles Quixtar on your site. I ran into an old friend of mine who said they had me on their list to call me regarding a business they wanted to start on the web. I am a sole proprietor of a Graphics business (I do web design, desktop...) and it appeared as if she wanted some help, or better yet was looking to do some business with me. Well, as it turns out she wanted to tell me all about this new BIG BIG business that was starting on the web. I was excited about it, but I have a few little businesses on the net already and really wasn't looking for anymore. She hyped me with the (what I'll refer to as) 'the much to do about nothing' information, all the big names, and then some. Well, I have been online for a couple years and surf a great deal, I knew something was stinky. My husband and I discussed the whole matter after I got off the phone with her, he and I agreed that it sounded a lot like Amway! Well, by golly we were RIGHT! I can't believe all the information that you have on this, it is great! I won't be calling my friend back (for obvious reasons, lol) and I wanted to relate this story to you and thank you for all the time and wasted hard earned money you have saved me!
Thanks again -- your site is great,
Now convicted Jim & Patti HEARN are serving 9 months in the Jefferson county jail amid great controversy within the Louisville, KY area about the perceived lenient sentence. They have 10 years probation and am petitioning the court to allow them to serve their 1000 hours of community service in Nag's Head, NC, a resort community....hmmmmm.
Plenty of press coverage via the internet. The local newspaper has a website: Courier-Journal.com
Re: Quixtar
My mom is getting involved in the Quixtar pyramid. Can you tell me a little more about your experience. Also is it possible for someone to make money in the program because she is convinced that she is going to be a millionaire in a few years. I am not at all convinced or inspired by Quixtar but she is 100% excited about it.
I sent her the location of your web site and I will make sure she reads it.
Thanks for the information,
PS I hope this isnt a "spam"
I dont know what a spam is
Re: Quixtar
Dear Sir: Upon joining Quixtar
I decided to check it out and found your site. Definitely misrepresented.
How can I get my $110.00 back for the kit? Where does this money
go? Please reply. Thank you.
Re: Quixtar
I am so sorry that you have
been so misinformed on the matters of the internet business of
Quixtar. As an Independent owner of an Amway business, I am upset
that you have no better interest in life than to tear down a company
that has made more money than you will ever see in your lifetime.
There are more than 50 companies that have signed up with the
Quixtar program. So maybe you should be better informed before
you talk about something you do not understand. It is called an
intelligent, educated answer. Every heard of that?
Re:
Amway
I have just stumbled upon your web page and found it to be a bit onesided . My personal experience has been wonderful since my wife became a distributor in May 1999. Her upline has been supportive and more than happy to answer any questions. Her upline Diamond even came to our house to do an in home meeting . Both he and the upline Emerald have been in AMWAY for thirteen years, they have donated there time and money on countless community projects . Why don't you mention them in your slanted view? If you truly did research you would find more leaders of the community are in AMWAY then there are people with a checkerd past . I suggest that you refrain from making blanket statements about anyone or any group of people .
By the way, Quixtar is NOT Amway........But you would know that if you bothered to do the research.
[That's right. It's not. It's a privately held corporation registered in the state of Delaware. It's owned by members of the DeVos and Van Andel families, same as Amway. It's run by the same corporate executives. It uses the same pay plan for distributors -- excuse me, IBOs. It sells the same core line of products. It follows the same lines of sponsorship. It has the same distributor "leaders." It is "represented" by the same distributor association. But it's not Amway, oh, my, no!]
I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my concern. After reading your e-mail we realize that we are fortunate because our upline and the INA network do not operate this way at all and we have received support and encouragement from our double diamonds in our upline. We are very excited about our new business and are proceeding full steam ahead.
Thank you again!
Re:
Amway/Quixtar
The good thing about the Amway/Quixtar
opportunity is: anyone can choose to become involved. The bad
thing about the Amway/Quixtar opportunity is: anyone can choose
to become involved.
Re: Amway/Quixtar
Thanks for the information provided in your site. My partner and I (we are gay - probably something that the Amway people in Ada, MI would shudder about) are still exploring and researching this business opportunity and are giving ourselves 6 months (end of this year) to make a decision. I would urge you to keep your site more current, though. In one area it is stated that "the website which is bragging that it will be the "largest internet mall" -- although they don't know yet who their "business partners" will be.". However, on 8/31/99 the first 50 companies to partner with Quixtar were announced. In the mega-fast internet world I know it is difficult to keep up with the river of information that is constantly flowing and this announcement may not have reached you yet. My concern with some of the information in your site is that it is not accurate and that "somebody" out there is going to come after you with their big "stick" (a.k.a. lawyers) and start beating. We applaud your efforts and obvious hard work in putting this site together but have to admit that some of the rhetoric is as ugly as Amway's Christian attitudes which can become very tiresome in no time at all (along with the continuous stream of sequin gowns at some of their bigger events!!!). I've bookmarked your site to show others, but I'm leaving it with a feeling of discomfort because of the hateful tone as well as the fact that you do not include the names and locations of others who have emailed you. Yet, at the same time I applaud your efforts and would defend them under the First Amendment and would again urge you to keep your information current and accurate.
I saw your web site. A neighbor of mine just bought a new Cadillac Told me he is in a MLM. Said that the only way to make money is to let other people help you make it while you are also making money. Why does this sound so different then what we have been taught by our society and in school?
Does you web site have anything positive to say about MLM? Have you run across any people who have followed through and became successful? I hope you are not out to bash a company? Is this site a informative site?
Thanks
Re: Amway/Quixtar
I have been told by my upline
in Amway that I am a "Negative IBO" who finds fault
with everything. Well, try getting to Quixtar.com today (9/1/99)
which is OPENING DAY for this new sister company to Amway!
Re:
Pre-Paid Legal
I am new to your site so you may have the question answered someplace else.
Have you written or know of any problems with "Pre-Paid Legal Services"
Thanks for your help,
Re: Amway/Quixtar
My husband and I recently signed up for Quixtar as IBO's. Or so we thought. We we're told that if we signed up now for only $20.00 we could be IBO's for both Quixtar and Amway. This was in the early part of August. So far my husband and I have given are sponsors $190.00 and all we have is a log on number, a cd, and a box of detergent, and the personal shoppers catalog. I told my husband that this doesn't make any sense!!! And today I even tired to use the number and couldn't even get the SITE!!
WHAT'S MY POINT? Well, it all happened so fast. We have a family and struggle with are income and decided that this mite be the BIGGEST OPPRUTUNITY (so we we're told) to make money and own are own business. And the people we got us involved in this happened to go to are church. So, we trusted them and what they said. We were so foolish now that I think about it. Any stranger off the street would have tired to pass this to us we probably would have atleast given it a second thought. But, because we knew them we trusted them blindly only to catch them lying to us in this last week that we signed on. Saying things that they said before, now they say they didn't.
It all started when I approached a dear friend about the business because we where supposed to have are First Big meeting inviting all are friends and family to convince them to get them on broad. She had informed me that her brother was in Amway and his wife became concerned about his drastic change. She did some research and found some site's like this one and informed her husband of all the law suites, mis trust, and lies they told others. Even some claiming that it was an occult. She then told me to check it out, to research it myself and see what I come up with. Needless to say my husband and I where shocked about Microsoft not being involved or IBM. And many more important facts. We decided to not have the meeting because we felt it was all a lie. I can't believe that we where getting are family and friends involved in this. They too could have been scamed. And I would have felt responsible. What kind of friend would I have been?
I just wanted to thank you for telling the truth and using your talent to create a web page like this one. You saved us more money and time. And this is only part of the story.....
Re: Amway
IT'S VERY INTERESTING TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE TRASH MLM,S. TO ME ITS VERY SIMPLE. BEFORE MAKING ANY DECISION ON INVESTIONG TIME OR MONEY IN ANY BUSINESS, YOU SHOULD DO YOUR HOMEWORK. IF YOU LOOK AT A MLM LIKE AMWAY WHO HAS BEEN AROUND FOR OVER 35 YEARS AND IS STILL ONE OF THE MOST PROFITABLE COMPANIES IN THE WORLD AND IS PROVIDING GOOD LIFESTYLES FOR MANY PEOPLE, I THINK YOU HAVE TO QUESTION YOUR OWN OPINIONS AND ISSUES. I DONT SEE HOW ANY COMPANY CAN STAY IN BUSINESS AND MISSUSE OR EVEN MISSLEAD OTHER PEOPLE. ON THE OTHER HAND IF YOU DECIDE TO INVEST TIME OR MONEY IN ANY BUSINESS OPPOTUNITY, AND FOR SOME REASON, THE COMPANY FOLDS, OR TAKES YOUR MONEY, OR YOU SPEND A LOT OF TIME EVEN YEARS DOING THE BUSINESS W/ NO RETURN. OR IF YOU BUY EXSPENSIVE TAPES AND BOOKS AND GO ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO MEETINGS. ITS YOUR DECISION!!!!!!!!!!!! NO BODY PUTS A GUN UP TO YOUR HEAD AND SAYS DO IT OR ELS. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR. IF ITS A VERIFIABLE GOOD BUSINESS W/ A SUCCESSFULL TRACK RECORD THAT IS VERIFIABLE LIKE AMWAY. MARY KAY, AVON AND OTHERS IF YOU WANT TO GET IN AND ACTUALY MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR YOU, THAN DO IT! IF YOU DONT THAN FORGET ABOUT IT AND DO SOMETHING ELS. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS ITS VERY HARD TO SEE SOMEONE ELS SUCCEED IN AN OPPORTUNITY THAT YOU SAID " AW THAT THING DOSNT WORK ". THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS SOME PEOPLE MAKE EXCUSES AND LOOK FOR THE BAD IN MLM'S, AND OTHERS MAKE MONEY AND LOOK AT THE GOOD IN MLM'S. HOW ABOUT YOU? IF YOU GET SCAMED AS THEY SAY THEN THATS PROBABLY A REFLECTION OF YOUR ABILITY TO MAKE A GOOD BUSINESS DECISION. UNFORTUNATELY MOST PEOPLE WILL SEE THE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY AS A WAY TO GET AHEAD. MAYBE TO PUT THE KIDS THROUGH COLLEGE. OR EVEN TO AFFORD A NEW HOUSE. THEY PURCHASE A BUSINESS STAR UP KIT AND IN SOME CASES SOME INVENTORY. AND THATS IT! THEY DO NOTHING ELS. OR THEY TALK TO UNCLE FESTUS WHO TELLS THEM "AW THAT THING WONT WORK" , AND THATS THE END OF THERE BUSINESS. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GET RICH QUICK. YOU HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING THAT YOUR UPLINE TELLS YOU TO AS LONG AS YOUR UPLINE IS SUCCESSFULL OR LISTENING TO SOMEONE WHO IS (THATS IMPORTANT) REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. NOTE: AT WHAT POINT DO YOU DECIDE THAT IT DOSENT WORK? IS IT WHEN YOU QUIT OR IT WHEN YOU STOP TRYING. NO MATTER IF YOU GET, STAY IN, QUIT, OR TURN DOWN THE OPPORTUNITY, THESE BUSSINESS WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE MILLIONS AND IN SOME CASES BILLIONS (LIKE AMWAY) BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT GO AROUND SAYING "AW THAT THING DOSNT WORK" BECAUSE OF YOUR UNWILLINGNESS TO TRY ALONG W/ FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET IN AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, JUST SAY NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Quixtar
Hi,
I just gave my money to become an IBO with Quixtar, and now I am reading your page! I wish I would have read it first. You say in here that they say there is no cost to switch to Quixtar from Amway on 9-1-99 but I was told that there is a $19.00 fee to switch over and it must be done immediately after the site's launch(which I am still waiting for by the way and it is 9-1-99)in order to get access to the 300,000 people just itching to get on this site and start buying(whatever). I was told that I didn't have to have anything to do with Amway if I didn't want to and that there is NO MINIMUM MONTHY SPENDING REQUIREMENT!!! That was a big deal for me. I did not want to spend money ecery month buying junk just to stay afloat. Now I find out that there is. Thank you for enlightening me. The only comfort I have is that I have only spent $109 thus far compared to the hundreds and thousands have already spent. It is really funny that they did not mention any of those Quixtar rules to me before I started advertising it. I could have violated them easily being that I am new to the net and just found out what spamming was. This is scary to me now. I do not know if you respond to the e-mail that you receive but I would appreciate it if you do.
Thank You
Re:
Amway
Hi just wanded to write and express my opion about Amway. I first joined in spring off 1997 my wife and I enjoy the products very much. I can say that the use of the vitumins have saved us a great deal in medical bills for our two boys I do not claim this just to say it there medical recrods will show it. we are not wealthy from the business but like any thing in life you get out of it what you put in to it. as far as tapes, books, and meetings go more companies should send there employees to the meetings. I find that they offer hope and motivate me not just as an Amway IBO but also at my everyday job. My only wish is that people like your self would tell the good side of such a great oppertunity a long with the down side. But then telling the whole truth would not be the thing to do sites like this only want to hurt good people and oppertunities its to bad that you may take the hope and dreams away from people.
Well just my opion
dear dumb ass get a life . it
is clear that you are just like my sponsor a BIG looser in life
just siting on your duff watching the world go by , and not doing
something with your life, success is the best reveng to you lazy
people that have no life .
Re: Amway/INA
Hi, I am not, nor will I ever
be involved
in any MLM such as AMWAY because of the real life experiences
of a couple of my friends in the Navy. I do, however, have several
friends in my local church who are trying to get people to attend
an informational meeting regarding "INA", and I happen
to know that the person who is leading the meeting is an AMWAY
distributor! I am very concerned about my friends (who do not
have very much money and have a couple of kids) getting swept
up in this Quagmire. Do you have any experince with INA or know
anyone who does? Sincerely,
p.s., I appreciate your website which is devoted to speaking the truth! Thank you!
The info on your MLM site was great! I was recently approached to "take part in great business opportunity selling products on the internet." Thanks to your site's valuable information and references, I am better informed. Keep up the good work.
