 Re: Quixtar

Quixtar is not what was promised at the Pre-Launch! It is selling Amway Products through the Net and only other products that are "non-compete". I was looking forward to a great ecommerce site. The people that I have met in the very short time that I have been involved, have been some of the weirdest people I have ever come in contact with.

Re: Lawsuit

Please verify the dates Amway lost Texas lawsuit. Please clarify why the lawsuit does not address the final disposition of lawsuit.

Part II

How many lawsuits were there ?:?? Give me all of the dates where Amway lost. Thanks.

Part III

Sounds to me as if you are unable to give me the information I am requesting that you are trying to wipe mud all over Amway/Quixtar good name

Re: Quixtar

Thank you so much for having this site. I was at a friends wedding in chicago and his father had a powerpoint presentation outlining the "virtures of Quixtar". Another friend had one of their small cd's expousing Quixtar as the e-commerce site of the future with a due date of Sept 1. This was about "July" when he showed me the CD-ROM.

I'm all for a site and for e-commerce, but since I've found your site I now see that there may be some problems along the line. I think that thing that throws me off is the constant meetings, (all held on my church nite), and the incessive request to get more members. (Sounds like EXCEL too)!

So again, thanks for showing another side of MLM... Hope you can answer the rebuttals concerning your information. Question: Is there a law against this? Where is it located?

and finally, Is there a program that is really e-commerce and that doesn't require you to add a downline?

Thanks so much for being there. Now I've got ammunition for the hype!

Re: Primerica

I have been trying to find info on Primerica. It is set up sort of like MLM but seems to actually sell products that help people. Can you tell me some sites to check out??

Re: Equinox

never have seen more overt liars than what i experienced with the fraud know as equinox...a hustle preying on mainly good people whose intentions are to do meet some degree of success in life...

people were encouraged to ignore wishes of spouses, friends and other valued people...spokespersons for equinox knowingly lied about every aspect of the company and its products...

i truely wish there was a way to return the crap i have sitting in the basement and make public all of those poeple who knowingly lied and cheated trusting people...

i kept my job as a professional and played the game to learn first-hand the tactics of these deceitful individuals...i wish there was a way to have this scam published nationally and have every top rip-off artist/liar exposed for the garbage they are...

Re: Pre-Paid Legal Services

I am considering joining Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. Do u have any info (including negative) on this company? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Amway

If Amway is so terrible, and it is a business, why has it survived all these years? If the fruit on a tree is rotten ,then it will not survive.(COMMON SENSE,101) Let's get our priorities straight, God's first, then family ,job, and lastly nation If you really worked your business and didn't give up,you may have succeeded. What was your driving force,GREED? Well I tried that ,it doesn't work! Don't carry this burden anymore."LET GO AND LET GOD" We will keep you in our prayers,*.*

Re: Nikken

I just love this site! My story is that of many others. Scabbed, lied to, encouraged to forge others names (which I refused to do) and participate in other illegal activities in the company. It has not been a memory, it has truly been a "SCAR" While NIKKEN had policies and procedures to which prohibit distributors to behave in this manner, I see now that it is only because they have to state this because it is the law. Nikken may have placed these policies in writing, they "REFUSED to enforce these policies. I just want to let you and everyone know about this. Do I ever have a story to tell and the paperwork to back it up!!!!!! Nikken, is a company that needs to be held liable for their actions!!!!! I just cannot believe that they can get away with this! But as far as I can tell, others are too embarrassed, or do not have the money or resources to find out they have been victims to of illegal business procedures!

I I am going all the way with this one because after educating myself with Network marketing and the laws in which Nikken is supposed to be bound by, I think everyone should know about this. I am hoping that others will come forward because I know am not the only one!

Thank you again for your Awesome website.

PLEASE, if you can assist me in contacting the right people and have this publicized in every way that it can, PLEASE contact me!

Re: Amway/Quixtar

I just want to start off this e-mail by saying I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the Amway business. My wife and I have been IBO's for almost three years and for the last nine months every penny that comes into my house is from Amway/Quixtar. This is what puts the diapers on my son, the food on my table, and the lifestyle we have. I usually don't read alot of internet stuff but my friend sent me here. I hate so much to here stories about people getting hurt by people involved with Amway. I'm happy to know my son will not grow up like I did. I apologize again on your bad experience. Thanks.

Re: McCorkle

I am fascinated about the case involving William & Chantal McCorkle in which they we're convicted of Fraud.

Over here in the UK she is currently in many National Newspapers protesting that all they did was hire a Private Jet , Boat and have been imprisoned for 24 years for something that an US citizen would have simply been giving a warning over.

Do you know much about the case ? Is it as simple as that ? Do you think an injustice has occurred ?

Over here in the UK they are being portrayed as a couple of hard working people who did well and have suffered an terrible injustice by the US justice system because they we're foreigners !

In all the Press articles that have been published they is not one mention of the fact that he used to be an exotic stripper and dancer and that he'd only declared $10,000 in taxes !! I'd be interested in hearing your views.

Regards

Re: The Winners Circle

Thank you. Keep up the good work!

Re: Equinox

product i have is over 1 year old...any other thoughts other than the trash heap?

i hope they put these "people" away and confiscate all their assets...

TWC? Not to my knowledge. I AM involved very deeply with Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc., and Starlight International however. Drop me a line as to your take on these companies?

Perhaps you would like to tell people that you are the author of the great new book that reveals all. The only reason I know is because I read the first chapter from the bookstore, and read 'My Story' and found that they were almost word for word. On your linked page, which is still in your site, you talk about the author (yourself) in third person. To me, that is mis-representation. No where on the site have you given your name. There is no way to tell it is you. By remaining anonymous and talking about your own book in third person, you are building your own credibility with people that are already trying to 'recover' from 'MLM syndrome'.

While on the subject of mis-representation, are your *, or **? I came to this site from a posting on the www.brw.com.au forum. Perhaps someone masquaraded as the author of the site, or perhaps you used a false name. Perhaps it is your real name and you used a false name for your book. Who knows? If you did not make the post, perhaps you should inform the forum of this. You can have your say while your there, and clear up your identity for me. I'll keep my eye on it.

I am a distributor, outside the US. I am part of an AMO. I have been involved for a couple of years on the fringe. I have benefited personally (development-wise) from the books that I have read, and from some of the tapes I have listened to. I do think that some aspects are oversold at times, and that there certainly are bad apples. I also think that your story is very real and very tragic. However, I think that your representation is somewhat biased. Although you tell the 'truth', you still leave out the other half of the truth.

Your harsh commentary on Quixtar seems a little excessive. eBay had glitches. Microsoft haven't released a product yet that has worked from the outset. Perhaps you should start a MS Windows Survival Guide.

Re: Equinox

TO Whom It May Concern:

We appreciated very much your truthful representation of the Equinox nightmare! We are an average, sincere & honest middle aged couple who were duped into the slimy black hole of Equinox by a Doctor friend who likewise was "tricked" into the scam. We found out later that his brother was royally disappointed as well as the doctor and his wife who almost got divorced over the stress. As for ourselves, we invested everything, did the whole $5,000 plus, desk rent, relative recruiting deal and lost everything we had. Thank God we didn't TOTALLY destroy our family -- but it made things very tense with them.

It's been 3 1/2 years, and we still aren't out of the woods, had to file bankruptcy, lost our home, etc. What's worse, we found out almost 99% of those we came in contact with at that time have wound up the same. Our very best friends ended up divorced and bankrupt. It was truly horrible. We've moved from the Fort Worth area and Texas altogether, but would be happy to corroborate anyone's testimony if they need more examples of the Equinox rip-off. PS we've got a stock of leaky water filters, if you need one cheap...LOL!

Re: Market America

Dear Sir Or Ma'am

I am looking for any infomration that tells the dark side of Market America.

PLease help me in my search

Re: Network Marketing

I ran into your site by accident and I started reading through it. I am a professional network marketer. Meaning I treat it as a business and I don't get all emotional and worked up about the stupid stuff. I have been closely acquainted with Kevin Trudeau for about 3 years. I met him in the Nutrition For Life days and we became friends do to my efforts in NFLI. After they terminated him the spunk in NFLI kind of died, actually to be real with you it died about a year before hand but it became obvious as soon as he was terminated. I stopped working my NFLI business and joined up with him in the infomercial business and that was a blast. Well, when Quixtar came along I was a little skeptical because of the whole Amway thing. You know I didn't like Amway but I would have never been able to tell you why. I really like the idea of having Kevin doing the training and some marketing for a downline created specifically for Quixtar but I was even more excited about the agreement of him not joining because we all know Kevin is a very controversial person in the industry but is an excellent trainer and motivator. So I joined Amway in July under this downline and started working on the pre-launch growth phase of my business. I knew that the site wasn't going to be perfect and I am not one to promote hype so I never led anyone to believe that things were going to be easy breezy in the beginning. So my group is very happy with what is happening and because of the glyches in the site and since I am near the top my upline leaders and I are stream lining things as much as we can for the group. So when I read your article it got me thinking: The success of a company or a business opportunity is based on how it is promoted and presented. And in order for someone to make some real money in Network Marketing they have to run it from a business stand point instead of an emotional stand point. The guy that said Quixtar was going to do a $100 million in sales the first week is obviously nuts. I tell people what I truly and honestly believe: Quixtar is not going to be running smooth for another 6 months. Most of the time it's not the company its self that causes miss guidance its the leadership. I really think your web site is a good idea. It will piss off the crazies but then again so does Howard Stern.LOL. Well, that's my soap box for the day.:) Good job on the site. -Quixtar IBO

Part II

I know I just sent you an e-mail. But your story is very powerful and I am sorry that you had to go to all those blasted functions and buy all of those tools that you probably did not need. Some MLM leaders let that take over there business and they forget about what is important. I am fortunate to have many options in life especially since I just turned 18 not that long ago. You know its funny through my previous MLM experience I made a lot of connections and learned enough to were I can basically do anything I want. When I read your story it grounded me even more. A lot of leaders forget about what is really important and that is the people in there group and how much money they are making. Some people when they have success become greedy. You know why I am building a business in Network Marketing? I do it to help people become successful. I have many other ways to make money and soon I will be working on them but right now I am concentrating on making sure every thing is smooth for my group. No one in my down line is on AmVox because I don't want anyone to be subject to hype. We have a monthly training series for $29 a month but most people in my group share it and then there is a monthly news letter coming out soon to everyone that gives them specific steps on making money in MLM. I don't promote functions that I know are not needed and I defiantly would not cram tools down the throats of my organization. When I am making $100 Gs a month and I have predominate leaders rising under me I am going to have them read your story so that they are reminded who is important.

Re: Quixtar/Amway

Thanks for the great site! I found you because two couples I know have recently become involved in Quixtar and have been hitting me up to join. It sounded very Amwayish to me so I did a search on Yahoo and found your sight. Boy was it a confirmation of my suspicions! Unlike Penny, I am an evangelical Christian and that is precisely what sickens me about Amway. Amway attempts to cloak itself in pseudo-christianity when it actually goes against so many of the teachings of Christ. It is materialistic and deceptive and I am glad your site is there to open eyes. Keep up the good work,

Re: Equinox

I was involved with equinox for five years and i know that alot of the things you wrote are true but i dont understand why you dont identify yourself by name. Are you afraid of bill gouldd?? I am not associated with that company anymore but i am still in the industry and i think that you are being pretty harsh on the industry as a whole just because bill and EQ was A bad experience. i would like to know you real name so that i can see if you were really as high up and in the know as you act like you were....

Re: Thank You

I just want to take a second to say thank you. Thanks for taking time out to create and maintain this site. I have been plagued by several co-workers to come and join Quixtar. Thank you for giving me enough hard facts to tell them off.

You are awesome, keep up the good work.

Re: Amway

I am not directly involved, however my wife is and it is straining our relationship. It is a long story. I do not believe at this point the relationship will survive. She is in my opinion totally brainwashed. Hard facts don't seem to matter. So called 'business' is a scam and really just supports the 'upline' thru tapes etc.. Products are marginal at best. Most of all they refuse to talk profit and/or net income. In my view it is a cleverly disguised religious cult. They just keep repeating the same approach over and over. There is never anything new. Nor do they really educate in the strict parameters of operating a business.

I do not know how much longer I can tolerate this 'scam'. I am shocked at what I see as ordinary but intelligent people falling for the so called 'dream'. It does not make any sense short of 'brain washing'.

I witnessed about 18,000 people at FED lapping it all up. Personally I could not stand it. I walked out of all sessions after about 10 minutes.

One couple whom we attended with have maxed out all their credit cards..??? Another two were so broke they ate peanut butter all weekend so that they could attend.???

I also overheard another couple arguing about calling home (parents?) for more money.????

I am hanging in however at least for the short term as I want to see the end of this whole organization.

I think their launching of Quixtar on the web will drain their resources, credibility etc..

I cannot see how they will survive on the Internet.

Enough rambling !

Thanks for your support and info.

Re: Quixtar

I'm glad I found your site. I was sucked into Quixtar scam about 8 weeks ago and boy, what a waste of $180. My professional background has revolved around the design and architecture of datacenters, lately Internet backoffice processing. I was extremely skeptical of the Quixtar claims and asked a ton of questions about the processing capability. When thery told me of the association with Microsoft, my gut instinct was to walk away. Any techie knows that MS does not have a clue how to handle large volume transaction processing. Anyways, I foolishly listened to my upline (brother-in-law) and bought in. After my first rally, I knew that the clowns 'talking up ' this site were clueless. They thought they could apply the Amway model to the Internet...wrong!!!.

I got a good chuckle out of all the robots walking around in suits and holding daytimers, thinking they were on to the 'opportunity' of a lifetime. It was obvious that they didn't understand what they were up against. Internet shopping sites are springing up like crazy on the 'net. All offer much better shopping experiences and responsiveness.

After the first week of frustration, I raised my objections regarding the Quixtar pitiful performance and offerings to any upline who would listen. They all responded with "the Wright brothers didn't fly cross-country in one day" to which I responded "yes, but they also didn't charge $99.95 to watch either". The folks designing the Quixtar site are clueless about Internet appeal (their site is poorly constructed and agonizingly slow), the Clowns (IBO's) selling the site are mostly non-Internet savvy people who truly don't understand how lame the site really is when compared with other shopping sites. Frankly, I'm embarrassed to even admit that I actually thought that this site had a chance to actually generate any volume.

I could go on and on, but I'm sure you've heard this same story many times before.

Smarter, but Poorer....

Re: Mary Kay

I came upon your site in my search of Mary Kay Cosmetics bashing. Not the products themselves, but the "opportunity" to sell, sponsor others, etc. I am trying to find some feedback from former or current Mary Kay Beauty Consultants as to what their experience has been like. I am considering the "opportunity". I hear only "rah rah" from those currently in the business and hesitation from my loved ones who have no experience to base their concerns on.

Anyone out there with an experience to share? Any suggested websites or links?

Thanks so much,

Re: Amway Tools

I have been a distributor for a few years now. I have known for most of those years that money was made from the tools. It was made known to me by my upline and the tool agreement. I am not a direct and do not make money from the tools. This may seem funny to you, but I actually find the information beneficial in many ways. If the tools are so unnecessary, then why don't the people who produce these negative sites try to build the business without the system (tools) to prove that it can be done without it? There is nothing to say that you can't. If it is possible, then the energy that was used to produce these sites could have been used to do this business the right way, according to you. Then this site could be a benefit to people not just a deterrent.
