Re: Amway

Hello; I sincerely hope the pain of your Amway experience has passed with time. It would appear to me that a lot of people share your pain and commute to your site as a form of therapy. I'm so glad for you and them. I suppose there is comfort in the community of the suffering. The thought that occurs to me, however, that while this communal time is spent, how many people are actually still in the hope filled pursuit of their dream? Maybe after the recovery they can move on. It seems that your mission is to facilitate the absolute removal of hope."This won't work" is fine with me but at least offer a solution. Without it, your are doing more damage to the hopes and dreams of America than "I got out of Amway" because it is a bad thing... Your assumption that everyone would feel the way I do if they "knew" (and to prove my point I will create a site that invites bitterness) is a bit arrogant.

What have you done lately to contribute to the free enterprise system? Keep people out of the things that don't work for you? Discourage "IBO's" that might succeed to quit, because it didn't work for you? Tell them the real deal because you worked for one diamond, and now you know how it works all over the world? Does that make you a big enough "expert" to put doubt in the minds of free enterprisers? What do you recommend for you and your friends to "better" their lives, instead of "bitter" their lives? A critic is easily found and groups of them are even easier to locate. One man with a dream and guts is rare, but a group of committed dreamers in high pursuit of personal achievements is the find of a life time. May you find your team and enjoy your achievements.

God Bless you.

Part II

Interesting response. Do you think it would better the country to rid it of all multi-level? Of course then we would only run a traditional type of business. Ruth, it sounds as if you harbor bitter resentment toward Amway in particular, or the "system" as represented by the people of that enterprise (You don't sound impartial/neutral-like someone who has forgiven and learned a lesson). Do you really feel that all the Amway leaders mentally "rape" their downline? Is there any value, in your opinion, to the total multilevel business future? You must know what I know to say without assuming that you "have information that I don't." That is what I mean by "a bit arrogant." Ruth, you have no idea who I am and what I do or believe other than what I wrote. Therefore, you couldn't know me well enough to assume what I agree with or don't. Wouldn't you agree? Keep up the great work and thanks for the response.

PS. Take a wild shot at what I do for a living. I think you will be surprised. Quite. You just never know who you are talking with do you Ruth?

Re: TrendMark

Hello there. I am a Canadian living *. At the beginning of the year a friend introduced me to the new technology that TrendMark was marketing for USATalks. I went to a meeting and decided to go for it. The cost was $500us approx. After many meetings and the expense of getting off island via ferry and many missed deadlines I and several others started to get worried. Mr. Paul Cosman was the big hitter presentation guru. He kept giving us dates that the service would be available and the dates came and went. Some of my friends actually invested large amounts into USATalks stocks. The long and the short of it is that nothing happened. According to MR. Cosman USATalks fired TrendMark. How could they do this when we had been told that they actually owned TrendMark was never explained to us I took TrendMark up on their offer to refund our money. I have not heard a word and have not been able to get to them to have any of my questions answered. However Mr. Paul Cosman is now marketing the same product under a company called DMI. I know this because a was emailed by an individual who is now working with Mr. Cosman. I have this man for more information and if he can get an explanation from Mr. Cosman as to what has happened. So far I have no specifics. This man is very nice and was quite surprised to hear that this had been marketed before as he was told it is NEW!!!! I dont know how to proceed from here. Any ideas. Thanks

Re: Quixtar

I wish i could say that didn't happen to me, but just not like that. I was taking by Quixtar also. Back in August my brother came to me and said, that he's in a really great business. So he brought his sponsor and they showed me and my fiance the business, I got excited and so did my fiance, even though he was in Amway years ago, he thought ok, lets give it one more try. He was thinking well maybe it changed since its on the Internet now.

As we got into the business we found out that you really had to buy alot, to get any money back.So the first thing we did was buy some products out of the catalogs. They got here in 10 days, which started to make me mad, because my brother said he gets all his stuff in 3 to 4 days. Well anyway it got here so I started to open the boxes, the first one was the paper towels that we ordered, so then i opened the second one, 3 of the 5 products were there, so i did the normal thing i got on the phone with customer service and she told me these products are on back order they be there by the end of the week, so i said ok. By the end of the week nothing was still here so i called back on Monday after the mailman came. I call up and the girl that answered the phone said i don't see your order, so i waited as she check again, still nothing, then she got a supervisor, the lady tells me on the phone that the order was cancelled, and she had the nerve to ask me if i still want it, i said no and hungup,I was so upset . When i got off the phone i was wondering if they cancelled out my new livingroom set, that we just ordered, .So i called back all ready mad and explained what happened to someone else, sure enough they could not find the set. Then i read off the card that was send to me by Amway thanking me for buying such a large order and it will be coming from a Warehouse in Mi. $1800,00 later and 10 weeks(when it was supposed to be 4 to 6 weeks) my furniture show up on my door step. I said to the guy that brought the set, I'll show you were to setup and he tells me I only deliver i don't setup! I was devastated, thats not the best part he even makes us take it off the truck. Then he says to me, I have to get going to my next stop i need for you to sign for this,so I did. We noticed that the boxes were damaged on one side, so were open it up outside, the house because you can't get it in with boxes still on it.We got the one piece of the couch out and found a hole on the one side. By the way this is a three piece set. Then to top it off i was reading the Blll of Lading that he handed me, it stated that it came from three different warehouses before it even got to me. That hole in my coach came from a forklift. So I called the last warehouse were it came from, they send out someone to look at the coach, and nothing has been done about it or no returned phone calls, I tried to get ahold of someone from Amway were i bought the set and i sat on the phone for 1hour the first time ¹/² hour the second time, the third time and 1 hour again.. When i got no help from anyone I was crying so hard. By this time i was so (p.o) I called my brother, and told him over the phone i quiet i don't want anything to with quixtar,or amway. I got a real good laugh about a month ago Amway sends me a letter in the mail asking for my renewal, you know what i did i put it throw the paper shredder. We have found a home based business. This is not a product driven company. We only provide a service to our customers that they use every day. We also get paid for when we get a person into this business with two customers, Also we get paid for training them. Plus, we get a residual income and we also have a e-commerce that started on its date as we were told and to be on my web-site. If you want to know more contact me by e-mail.

Re: Melaleuca

This is for all who have questions about Melaleuca or who have decided they want to get out of the company. I have yet to find anything negative about Melaleuca except that unfortunatley it is not for everyone! The person who enrolled me did not pressure me to do anything I don't want to do. As for having to work, work, work, or you will never get anywhere, I ask, Doesn't everyjob require you to work? I work when I'm able not 9-5. If you want to get out then get out!If you're not happy at any job do you not start looking for another one as soon as possible? Melaleuca does have a money back guaranteed but, if you've been in longer than 4 months and want you're money back you're not going to get it. I don't know of any company that will do that. Their 90, 60, 120 day policy I think is very reasonable. I started with Melaleuca for two reasons. #1 To get my son off of Ritalin which he takes for ADD. I thought, anything has to be better than speed for a 14 yr old with a learning disability. I did do research on this option before I took him off Ritalin. #2 To have extra income as I am a single mother with a disability and trying to support two teens. I don't think that Melaleuca is for everyone but, please do some homework before you dismiss this company.I have enrolled 4 people and I make sure that they understand what is required and what is not. I don't see a problem with it but, I'm sure that many people will undoubtedly get an upline that they are not comfortable with or get no support from. I don't know of anyone who is happy with all the people they work with all the time. That would just be to good to be true. Ruth, I also would like to know what you do for a living? I believe that you had such a terrible experience with Amway that you have jumped on the wagon to warn everyone about any company that comes remotely close to an MLM. I don't and the people I know don't believe Melaleuca to be an MLM. If you want to call it that then you go right ahead but then you must also realize that anyone who has a company is in a way an MLM. All companies have some sort of layering and all companies advertise in one way or another!

Re: Quixtar

I am not going to give you my number to navigate the site so you cannot consider this SPAM. I will not try to change your experiences because they are indeed your experiences. You may be having trouble navigating the site and getting into the client or member sections because you were not "contacted" by an IBO (new name for a distributor) It still requires that personal contact (high touch) to get into the High tech of the site. Like any other site the opening "bugs" are many but I have gotten in and ordered by hitting the back arrow. The response to the site is so heavy it sometimes cannot handle the traffic. Hit your back button if you can get someone to give you an active BO (Ada) number. A hint, the numbers you see on the net may not work as "advertising" on the net in that manner is prohibited. Quixtar does shut down IBO's that try to take unfair advantage by putting up a site that gives an IBO #, Spaming is also prohibited. Even if I did not make a dime on the experience, the books tapes and other material upgraded my view of life and how I treat other people. This helped me even on my 9-5 job, but also helped me advance my Amway/Quixtar business. I am truly sorry your experience was negative, but I have seen some real humanity reach people and bring them from despair to hope to spreading that hope to others. You can see it in their eyes and feel it when you speak to them. I am sorry you did not see any of this when you were involved. Since IBO's are people, some are in it for the money. I got in for the money and stayed in for the positive experience I have experienced. I have, like you, met distributors/IBO's who got in for the money and not to help people. As Zig Ziglar said, You must help people and if you do help people reach their goals and set new ones, and teach others to duplicate the kindness (not the greed of using people) you will get that warm fuzzy glow that will attract others to you and allow you to help them. Sometimes you have to wait and sometimes you are disappointed, but when you are at your lowest with an upline that will not baby you, but truly cares, you will break through and good things do happen for everyone. It must happen for your downline before you can be rewarded for helping them.

Re: Equinox

Too bad youve had bad experiences with Equinox as a rep. All's I know is Rich Von and Kale Flagg were both terminated. Never talked personally to either of them. I have been an Equinox Supervisor since 4/94. I wasnt forced to go to seminars or rent a desk. I did what I wanted to. Possibly because of the products, my asthma has gone away and I havent been sick in 5 years. Maybe its a coincidence. People should be careful about making medical claims. I try to be. I share the products with people and as a coincidence their health improves. Because everyone is different. Different results happen. Your web site seems to be biased in that it only shows the negative aspects of this industry and not some of the success stories.

Re: Quixtar

Hi again, if you have people still upset about quixtar please tell them i can help. by the way quixnet is really uunet, there is NO way to filter out sites unless you go through a poxy server. also the real facts are this quixtar cost $30 to join not $99, know crap amway prduct are required to buy on sign up, no 30 for sign up then 70 for produces, on sign up dont select product and it only $30.....

i will help anyone with quixtar it does have potaintail not becuase of amwya producs but becuse it MLMs any company on the net even a visa card, not to mention ibos get internet for only $15.95 that comes to an avagre of $18.45 / month even with reneuall, i sign up 6 to 9 people a day not becuase of amway crap but because most of them pay $21.95/month for internet access, so they are saveing money, i do not sell BSM crap, nor buy it, i do not do rallies thouse things are for idots,

Re: Excel

Thanks for your information. I do not plan on being part of any MLM, but a good friend just got started. I'd like to give him some insight before he throws all of his free time away.

Regards,

Re: Equinox

I have been romanced for the last week by these heartless wallet suckers and everything you say is true and more. It's a good thing I have been there done that with Mellaluca, Mannatech, and have had friends in Amway and Mary Kay. My friends that I have took a long time in the making and life is too short to lose them. The Director that"sponsored" me this week was actually suggesting that I call to increase the credit line on my credit cards to afford the seminar. So I only got taken for one days seminar cost because I had no more room on my credit card! I have a degree so I guess I have to stay with having a real job, huh?-We earn it! Right?

Thank you very much for your time in replying. The person I told you about gave me his email address and I spent a good deal of time sending him pages I found this weekend for his own consumption. I figured that way he could browse around and wouldn't be turned off by a stack of papers. The book recommendations are great and since I really have nothing to lose I think I'll drop one (perhaps yours) in his mailbox this upcoming weekend. I sure appreciate it and if no one else has told you lately you deserve a great deal of appreciation for your time and effort in creating and maintaining your site. Best of luck to you in the future, and happy holidays!
