Re: Big Planet, Primerica

than you for the quick response on Big Planet, I'm searching for information on Gary Young Essential Oils, is there any pro or con information available on this particular MLM, and also why isn't "The Tangled Web" on Primerica available?

Re: Amway/Bill Britt

Good Morning,

My name is J, and I heard about you through a scam alert message board call lawdogz (www.lawdogz.com).

I have just finished browsing most of your website and indeed find it very interesting. I mean this in a positive way.

I myself was involved in a few MLM/NM companies. I hardly made any money to say the least. I won't go as far as saying that it was a waste of time. I did have quite a bit of fun. I definitely appreciated all the self-motivational techniques I learned as well as some of the people I got to know.

Anyway, I'm writing to ask if you would happen to know anything about a gentleman by the name of Bill Britt. In the message boards in lawdogz.com I put up a post requesting info on him and his organization, Britt Worldwide, INC. Someone responded and told me that he was or is with Amway and directed me to you.

Any factual information that you may have on him, both positive or negative, will be helpful.

I'm curious. If you don't mind me asking - by any chance do you happen to be Born-Again-Christian? I am, and the reason I ask is because of some of the books that you promote on this site: Athena Dean's "Consumed By Success" and Bill Fitzpatrick's "False Profits".

Funny. When I first accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord, Savior and Master, the first thing the Holy Spirit did was clean out all my desires for anything MLM. So much so that I get disgusted sometimes thinking about them.

You're probably asking, "why do you need the info on Mr.. Britt then?". Well, it happens that I own several retail business websites where I sell different products. A brother in my church mentioned Mr.. Britt, his company, and something about internet marketing, which happens to be my forte. At the time we were in a retreat. It had been the second time that I had heard of him and his company. I didn't pursue the conversation because I really wanted to be in communion with the Lord. Anyway, I told him that I'd get back to him and pick up our conversation where we left off. I figured that in the meantime I'd do some research.

I found his site but I can't get in because I need a password. This is a real bummer from a marketing perspective. What interested me from the get-go was the "internet marketing" that Britt Worldwide is involved in. As this is what I do for some extra income, I figured it couldn't hurt to check him out. Also my brother from church mentioned that Mr.. Britt was Born-Again as well. This is a plus, but I have learned from past experiences not to trust people simply because they Ad-Lib the Name of The Lord into their business meetings/seminars.

Well, that's the whole bucket of marbles. I apologize for the length of this letter. I didn't mean to give you the long side of the story.

Again, any info you may have will be very helpful. Thank you in advance for your time as I know that you probably get a lot of e-mail.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Quixtar

I followed instructions on how to drop my membership in quixtar and was refunded all of my money. Thanks for the tips.

Re: Quixtar/A2K

Thanks for the information, I'll be steering away from that promotion! Keep up the great work you are doing. March 2000, is their projected date for the a2k/quixtar scheme to commence.

Regards

Re: Wildfire Co-Op

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to give you a website they included in their mailer. It is adnetbk@earthlink.net. Keep up the good work.

Part II

I gave you their E-mail address, not a website add. From their mailer it appears they are a nutritional supp. co.(18 yrs. old) and they use a 2X3 expandable matrix system. You buy in for $50.00 a month, they place a downline under you, as they buy in,you get $25.00 each back, at level 3 with 8 people they expand your width by two and start the process over. Now get this, if you refer friends, family, etc. they put them on the list and only CHARGE you $2.00 per person for adding them as a referral. What a joke. Looks like a scam to me.

Re: 2Extreme

To tell you the truth, I have been approached before on this. You won't believe this, but my husband made me burn everything. I would love to be apart of anything if justice could be served. I really don't think much will happen. I used to get updates on the legal stuff, and then I received a letter that 2Xpi filled bankrupsey. That Co. hurt so many people, and I know of some that it ruined there lives. Thanks for contacting me, and if I can help in some way let me know. I know a lot of people are involved in the class action suit.

Re: MLM

I certainly agree with you about the abuses perpetrated by Amway and Equinox, but how can the other companies be blamed for their behavior when they have no control over them. I own my own CPA practice, but when a large firm is out of line, does that mean that all of us little guys be held responsible? Sites like yours are very valuable to educate people but when they lump all networking companies together, it hurts a lot of well-meaning people who have something valuable to offer, not to mention the people who lose out because they are so afraid to look at these product lines and/or the opportunity. I have taken so much abuse, it's unbelievable, but the people I've enrolled who continue to purchase products month after month after month are getting a great deal on superior products. There's a no questions-asked money-back guarantee for everything and it's even a toll-free phone number to order. We marketing executives (not distributors since we don't handle or inventory product) do not pay for training, expensive tapes, books and rallies. It's truly a low-cost, efficient way of doing business. The company has a very fair and equitable compensation plan with no breakaways; even customers who don't enroll any customers of their own can earn commissions. This company goes to great lengths to avoid all of the negative associated with some networking companies.

I hope you will make it clear that you are talking about specific companies and not the industry as a whole. If you want to be fair about it and not hurt well-meaning people who have something valuable to offer, then you should investigate and report on individual companies. Not only would this be fair to deserved people, it may influence the Amways and Equinoxes to clean up their act.

Sincerely,

A friend just sent me a link to your home page and you confirmed what I suspected about Amway/Quixtar. Reading through some of the past e-mail, I noted several questions about Pre-Paid Legal and Melaleuca, but no answers. I was in Amway for a short time many years ago, then tried Fortunate Pet/Personal/Home - lost money on both. A few years ago I took a look at Mannatech, but did not like the "binary plan" - good for the company, but not the distributors, and the products seemed to be way overpriced. A few years ago someone tried to interest me in Melaleuca, but there were few products and I was busy developing a real estate business. Recently I was approached by another friend who has been very successful in several MLM's - and able to recognize when the programs were getting over-extended, so she got out before they collapsed. The product line is much broader than the last time I looked and the compensation plan has changed. Do you have any information about the "new" Melaleuca? I like the idea of catalog buying, instead of having each distributor establish their own warehouse. I would also appreciate information about Pre-Paid Legal. Several acquaintances are touting it as a good supplement to my real estate activities, but I want to see something other than their hype. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you for providing such a comprehensive web-site.
Re: Amway/Quixtar

You really needn't bash the entire Amway/Quixtar opprtunity just because you were sponsored into an immature (business wise) organization. I have been involved with this business opportunity for just over 1 year and couldn't be more thrilled. My income has more than covered all operating costs and purchases, I have made some irreplacable friends and associates, and most importantly I was taught the proper way to build and maintain a profitable business. This business is not based upon the sale of "tools", in fact I do not make one penny off the sale of tools in my organization because I and my upline sell the tools for the exact price that we ourselves pay for them, THE EXACT PRICE!! You were taken advantage of in whatever organization that you were a part of and I am sorry for that. I know that this business works just changing where you buy what you need and showing others to do the same. In my time in the business we have generated enough income to bring my wife home, send our kids to a private school, and I myself started to work part-time all from the sale of PRODUCTS not tools. This is the truth regardless of what experiences you had. I will not even attempt to tell you that all MLM is moral and ethical and that is because MLM involves some people that have no morals. This business builds wealth quickly when done right. Its not in the tools its in your dream and in the education of your people. As for the Quixtar site, granted it had some glitches getting off the ground, but it is the easiest to navigate site I've ever shopped. By the way the home page where login occurs is purposely designed that way so that everyone is sponsored thereby maintaining the structure of the business. Unlike Avon and Tupperware who went online and allow customers to order direct thereby eliminated their distributor force bonuses only to raise their own profitability. If you ever get an IBO to take you through the site you will see that our over 19,000 pages, 300 links, 150+ partner stores, and 20+ services places us at the top of any other site out there and was well worth the 150 million (and still counting) dollars that it has cost to build (none of which came from any IBO) was well worth it. Its too bad that your experiences will cause you to miss this boat because a lot of people will be free in a few years.

Re: Market America

This is to the person who has such a strong opion of Market America. Do you want to know what really sucks Coporate America. If you finish schoolgood Old Uncle Sam will compensate you well for all your hard work Well thats the biggest line of crapI have ever heard. So many things you said are wrong . I am a licensed beautician and to my knowledge the bottles of foundation are not available to me. And for you comparing us to Circle Of Beauty we are in no means the same cosmetic line. For anyone who cares the kit for the motives cosmetics Is $850.00 dollars but it does include in your training. It also includes 35 lipsticks, 1 lip conditioner, 35 eyeshades, 12 eye pencils ,liquid eyeliner 2 mascara , 3 eyebrow pencils, 3 bronzers, 12 blushes,3 pressed powders 3 additional blushes, 1 loose finishing powder, 2 councilor pencils 2 creme concelear pots, 12 nail polishes and your training voucher. Now you go to Sears (and thetas poor quality cosmetics) and try to buy all that for that price and get 300% back. The only people to bitch abbot this are the ones who didn't have the desire to be successful. Apparently when you were employed with Market America you didn't have any team work. My up lines never get mad at me when I don't attend a meeting but if your not there how will your business grow. And the stuff about voice mail transfer buying is all your choice you do not have to do it. You do not become a instant millionaire but if you have the determination it takes you can make it. MAybe you need to sit down and think about what you did and most of all what you did not do with your business.

Re: Market America

Hi!

What specific experience have you had with Market America?

Please let me know ASAP for I am considering this opportunity.

Thanks in advance!

Re: MLM

I am glad you found an outlet for your negative experiences in MLM, and you offer a place for others to come. Your facts are great to see. Hopefully, your efforts of showing others why MLM does not work for the vast majority of people will bring a greater understanding of what the MLM industry actually is. I APPLAUD YOUR EFFORTS !!!! - Mark

p.s. I am a 5-year continually successful MLMer. It has allowed my wife to stay home and raise our children.

Re: Powerline

Do you have any knowledge of David Klaybor and/or Powerline ? Apparently he is connected with Body-Electric.Com and PowerMindUniv.com.

Can anyone tell me if they are familiar with this person, his history and/or his products? Apparently he has been involved in a number of companies going back into the 1980's.

Thank you for any leads you might provide.

Hi babe, you obviously were hurt and havent yet recovered from a poor business experience...i hope you can soon find peace...best wishes,

.............................................ps, i'm making money !

Re: PRSI

Thanks Ruth for your feedback. I have been following its development since it was raided on the 5 Jan by 15 heavily armed police from Florida Special Branch Team due to a tip off which claimed the company has a cache of firearms -- of course, this is not true. What is true is that the company has been placed under receivership pending further investigation. The prospects of PRSI getting a partial is quite positive. PRSI has one of the best marketing plan, products and residue income bundled up into one. I hope it will eventually take off because it is such a wonderful plan --- it is a MLM where members do not lose money. Ruth, please subscribe to my newsletter at ** for the latest updates.

Thanks again for your time. Wish you a Happy Y2K! You can get some official documents from www.prsiinc.com
