Re: KM.net

I don't have a related story but am concerned about KM.NET (selling Web-sites and personal mall) for $399.95. My sister recently sent me some E-mail stating that she bought her own mall and if I was interested in purchasing products I should visit her new site. After looking into detail (info you can collect by reading each topic under mall features in the upper right hand corner) the contract and the whole concept looks to me like a very good pyramid scheme going on there. I don't quite know who to go to and find out if this is legit and if now who to report it to. Could you give me a little direction?

Thank you,

Part II

Thank you for trying and giving new info.

Re: Thanks

Hi there,

Thank you so much for your site. I really enjoyed what you posted and has helped me make a decision not to get into Quixtar. I've read more negative stuff on the internet than positive. I do have a question though. Do you think all MLM companies are bad? I noticed your book list and I've read some of the books. Many of those books are honest looks at MLM. That it is hard work, but you can make it. I also believe in the books I read they gave a fair evaluations at how much work goes into it. It definately isn't a piece of cake. On the other hand - I don't want to waste my time. Was just interested in know if you think ALL MLM companies are bad.

Thanks

Re: Primerica

I arrived at this site through trying to find information on primerica, in which I was thinking of getting involved.I thought I would inquire about any pertaining knowledge you may be able to provide about them.

Thanks

Re: Quixtar

hello! I'm quite tired as I've spent the last 3 hours perusing your site and downloading helpful pages for my reference (and for my hubby to read) because recently, I'm talking about 5 days ago, we signed up through the internet to become IBO's. My husband and I are both "highly educated" (I'm completing my PhD in biochemistry and my husband has a masters in engineering) and supposedly "logical" but we were impressed with the dream talk. I admit, even as a skilled web researcher, I didnt even think of punching in the search engines to look for quixtar information that goes beyond the subjective picture painting of our sponsors. I would like to ask you whether your site has a section on getting a refund for those who registered over the internet - even having invest less than $200 on this plan, I already felt like I've lost alot of precious time and am rather miffed to feel that we've been blinded by smooth talk.

I really do appreciate your help, even though we weren't poor, we certainly aren't wealthy and wanted something to help us buy a house in the future as well as help pay off my student loan, and I'm glad I was able to find your information before investing recklessly in something I didn't know many facts about.

One thing that had bothered me from the beginning and now I understand from reading your website was, I had asked our sponsor explicitly twice (the 3 times I've met him) how many years he had invested in this "business" and never got a straight answer. I still don't know, I'm guessing a few years, maybe around 5? He probably didn't want to give me a straight answer because he may have to reveal that it's been years and he hasn't made anything impressive enough to turn prospects into IBO's.

Currently I'm in pharmaceutical sales, and am learning various skills in selling. The company I'm employed with offers "developmental programs" that include motivational tapes and continuing education series and is FREE to me once I pass my 6 month's employment probation. I suppose right now my J(ust)O(ver)B(roke) may not offer me a breathtaking salary, but it's extremely fair with alot of perks that I can't complain about, including the career developmental programs I can get for free. Taken together it seemed to me that the benefits, not just monetary, of this job may be more than this MLM will ever be. I still plan to invest in a business in the future, but I will surely learn from this lesson and research more carefully.

Thanks for saving us alot of money and probably the less-than-stellar experiences that we may have encountered like those who put in countless hours and gained very little.

Sincerely,

Thanks for the info. I found some really interesting stuff on the fraud page. Guess I won't be using this product. Thanks again.

Re: Coupon Connection/Brad Richdale

Hi,

I am a disabled single mother of three who was scammed by Coupon Connection of America, Inc./Brad Richdale/Greg Montoya. I am compiling information on them because they can't just go on defrauding desperate people and getting away with it. Do you have any information on them that you would be willing to share?

Thanks,

Part II

I have saved all original marketing and sales materials (written, video and audio), including an audio tape I taped at two of their "seminars." I will let you know what happens, and thanks for your help.

Re: Amway/Quixtar

Hi Ruth,

Thanks for your quick answer. I did read the Hart suit, printed it out on my printer. Interesting that he was calling his upline, downline and crossline criminals and left himself out (RICO was originally criminal). But since he was an admitted marijuana dealer, not too surprising when I thought about it. It was incredible to me to think that there was so much money involved. I asked my upline emerald, *** (Mr. pathetic life), about it and he asked me if I read it, I told him I had so he said I probably knew what it was about. Apparently it was settled out of court.

One of the last lower level functions I am aware of, you had to do so much, then you could go to Brig's garage. And the cost was about $45 per person. And about that time there was a message from Brig asking people to bring their own colas to open meetings he was having in his garage. What gall. None of my real friends ask me to pay them to come to their house and to bring my own drinks.

Anyway, we are still distributors. *husband renewed us in both businesses and I signed the form rather than have a fight. We are both very stubborn. *'s dream is that the business will allow him to retire with money. He are too close and has nothing saved. And, he does not talk to much of anybody, including me, so I don't know how to get that going.

Anyway, I went to the library and they did not have either of the cult books here but the one by Singer will be here Monday. I hope it helps.

Thanks for caring about those of us who have been involved in this.

Re: Amway/Quixtar

yes it is true that diamonds make money from tools etc but what i have found is that if i generate x number of points i will make exactly what i was told i would. Now if somebody else makes money so be it. i guess that happens in all business and even when u r an employee. eg if u take a job for say $600 pw and your boss charges u out at say $1200 pw we dont complain ( well some do) but u r still getting what u agreed to do the work for. the debate over tools etc has continued for a long time and no doubt we have not seen the end of it yet - but i have generally found that many people who complain about the tool situation will also complain about the bosses charge out rate. I hope whatever u r doing now is making u happy - which i think is most probably the ultimate goal in life - and wish u well

just my 2 cents worth and i hope i don't offend

Regards

Re: Amway

hello,

I am not sure if this is the right e-mail to write to regarding my question but if it is not please forward to the right address.

I enrolled as a distributor in August and opened some kind of an account called Amvox Quick Start. Now I would like to know about my account and if I can access it via Internet. If you know how to do this or who can help me with this please write to **

Thank you.

Re: Dynamic Essentials

I am looking for any info on Dynamic Essentials. I have a friend that is involved and is trying to get me into the company as well. The whole MLM/Network Marketing business sounds a bit risky, & I don't want my frined taken advantage of or have her lose everything (she has 3 children).

Thanks,

Re: Skybiz

Hi Ruth,

Thank for taking the trouble to write back to me and to tell you the truth I really appreciate it very much. I hope we can be friend even if you decided not to join the the SKYBIZ 2000 under me but I hope you will do. Because if you do not do so, you will miss this once in a life time opportunity. I hope you would not take this as another sales talk or neither I'm trying to pulling your legs.

I had before involved in a number direct selling and mufti level marketing, that includes Anyway. To tell you the truth I never really makes any money at all but instead end up poorer. Until someone introduced SKYBIZ 2000 to me.

It really difficult for me to explain to you whether if SKYBIZ 2000 is really an illegal pyramid scheme or not. If you go to the web site of Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc. It is self explanatory.

It stated very clearly that pyramid scheme on the other hand, concentrated mainly on quick profits to be earned by recruiting other investors who, in turn will recruit others, and so on. The merchandise or service to be sold is largely ignored, and little or no mention is made regarding a market for the products.

On another hand SKYBIZ 2000 doesn't pay one for the recruiting investors but rather for the number of sales is made. It simply a people's refer people's business. We are not doing any direct selling because the prospect deal direct with the company in US through' commerce.

Since you are in US it is best if you could check if yourself with Better Business Bureaus if SKYBIZ 2000 is illegal before you joined the words of mouth business. I wonder if you had visited my web site at http://www.skynary.com/cd-1 because it from there where all your doubts can be answered.

If you needed me to send you more information's like vcd, presentation please do not hesitated to do so. If you planned to come down to Malaysia for holiday and to know more about this business I will please to provide to free lodging and to show you around Malaysia.

The articles that you heard that RCMP is going after SKYBIZ is really a hoax, I had enclosed a self explanatory letter from Richard McCullough the President of Direct Approach Inc., which is one of the partner of SKYBIZ 2000.

Regards,

[Since this email was written, the RCMP has arrested at least four Canadian Skybiz distributors and charged them with running an illegal pyramid scheme.]

Re: Amway/Quixtar

Hello. I have a twenty year old son who is getting ready to throw himself head first into Quixtar. I had several friends who were in Amway several years ago, and became very unhappy with it. What I want to know is, everytime I hear them talking about Quixtar, seems like they're mentioning things that I heard back in the old Amway days. Are these two Company's one and the same, or at least connected? I appreciate your response.

Dude,

I'm not in any of these businesses just so you know. But dude, You need to get a life. Just think if you would have spent all of the time building an actual business instead of tearing down business that are working for people who work them you may have made enough money to where you wouldn't care about what other people are doing.

Also, you need to know that your information is very outdated and its obvious that you don't have a clue about how the business (quixtar) really opperates. You should do more research on it if your going to spend so much time trying to deter people from joining..

Remember... you can make of it what you want but what it all comes down to is your recomending a place people can go and shop to get everday items delivered to there door!

I wish you well in life. Try to start living it!

Re: Amway

Hi,

Just read your story, but I still have a couple of questions. First is, what does MLM stand for? Also, I have a friend at work who is trying to get me to go to a meeting with her in my area. She says that she will pay my way into the meeting if it is necessary. She told me the name of the company but I don't remember it. She also told me that they are somehow related to Amway. She says that this company will give her her own website where she can go and purchase things cheaper than anywhere else. They also told her that if she sponsors other people that she will be paid a certain amount of money for each dollar they spend. Wish I could remember the name of the company but the minute she told me it was connected with Amway

became very cautious. Do you know of any companies connected with Amway? If so, can you tell me who they are? Also, is it possible that Amway has just changed their name or something? I remember from years ago, that Amway had some kind of a problem but don't remember what it was. I hope you can help me with this as I am very concerned about my friend.

Sincerely,

Re: KM.net

Hello, my name is **, and I was wondering if Km.net is a scam or not. If it is, I wont invest in it, if not, then I'll go with it. Your response would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Re: USANA

My Daughters and I are looking into a multi level marketing group called USANA. They are a vitamin company We think it sounds good but are unsure. I haven't found anything negative about it, maybe you have. Please let us know.

Re: Amway/WWDB

I also joined World Wide Dreambuilders in 1994, I only lasted a couple of months until I found out they were overpriced products. It was really hard to get out of it, because of the upline people. I always like the concept of networkmarketing. Its better than working in the Corporate World. Everybody is getting laided off, and Corporations are moving out of the U.S. for bigger profits and cheap labor at the expense of american families. Mabe you should start a web page investigating Corporations instead of anti mlm, because mlms can give you more family time and money. Everybody is on the same playing field. You need to find the right one. I did. I only offer services people need and already use. Like Electricity and Natural Gas, longdistance, Internet service,Pagers, and we also have a global shopping mall. Get a little education on the Industries such as Corporations, and Franchising, before you start bashing Network marketing. Read this book >>>Downsize This By Michael Moore its hard to find because Corporations don't want you to read this. I found it in the humor section.

Take Care

P.S. maybe you can get a Job at "Boeing" building planes, after the get done with their layoffs and benifit cuts

Re: Purchase Plus

My mom has been solicited by her church group into what I believe is a mlm. I don't know too much about the company but what she has told me, which of course sounds to good to be true. The name of the company is called Purchase Plus and from what I gather from my mom is she sends them $400 for a "unit" and then they magically return her money 90 days later. After 13 months, she is suppose to receive approximately $11,000. I can't find a catch because I don't have enough information, but I know there must be one. My mom is rather reluctant to tell me more because she sees that I believe strongly that this is a heist. Any suggestions or information that you can offer would be most appreciated.

Thank you,

[Since this email was written, Purchase Plus has shut down, and then reopened again. The State of Ohio is investigating.]

Re:QUIXTAR

Hi There,

My wife and I are QUIXTAR IBOs. We have found it to be the "real deal". Seems to us that the profit can be made only through helping others. Nothing wrong with that. We suspect the challenges some have with this internet opportunity is that they expect instant riches with little or no work. This "lotto" mentality will insure failure for anyone but those who really want to seize an opportunity to be significant.

Re: Quixtar

Hello, my name is ** and I need some information (truthful information). I have been approached and am now an IBO affiliated with Quixtar. I'll get right to the point. The person that showed me "the plan" seems to have some credible information but I have also caught in in some downright lie's. I was told that the family 4 in 1 bar soap was such an excellent product that it would not, if left standing in water, become gooey(sp), like most other soaps. Well yesterday day I got some of that soap and what do you think I did? I put it to the test. Within 30 seconds the soap had become gooey. After 30 minutes sitting in the water it became like most other soaps that are left standing in water mush. The soap also works too geed after washing my hands with it, it had stripped all the oils out of my hands and they became extremely dry and cracked. The soap is great for grease cutting but not for child use as they claim on the label. But some other cleaners seem to work well like the Pursue cleaner. Their paper products appear to be very cheaply made (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels) but they still are the same price as better quality I can purchase in the store.

The thing that sold me on the business was the ability to purchase almost anything you want through their site and get PV/BV for them as seen through their catalogs. Now, if I can just change people's buying habits then I see how there could be income potential.

What I need to know is where can I find the real facts about this business.

Do they really own give $100 million dollars every year to Easter Seals?

Is Nutrilite really the largest world manufacturer and distributor of Natural vitamins in the world? Are Nutrilite Vit's really as good as they claim? Is Artistry Makeup really better than Lancome? Did they really start a $2 Billion Van Andel Medical institute that rivals the Mayo Clinic? Did Bill Gates really sign a non compete clause with Quixtar and throw $240 Million out of his own pocket to develop Quixtar?

As far as I see it the harder you work the more people you will sign up. The more people you sign up the more people you will be in charge of and the harder you will work. That is O.K. as long as it is explained. Not the 8 to 15 hours per week they say is needed to be successful. That is probably what it takes to get started.

Anyway, please help me. Where can I go to get the real facts? I have already seen what you have said but where can I find independent studies of these corporations and their activities?

Thanks,

Re: Omegatrend

My wife and I have been invited several times to join Omegatrend in Malaysia, and we have attended a few presentations. We have a niggling worry about this business, especially promises of lifetime earnings once the Premier/Ambassador/President level is achieved, given the negative exposure of Goldquest International and Skybiz.

Please advise on the long term viability of its reward program? Has there been any adverse reports or feedback on Omegatrend in Australia or New Zealand?

I hope you can respond to me as soon as possible, with advice to help us make a decision soon.

Than You.

Re: ACN

what are your facts of ACN ( american communications network ) ?

Re: Quixtar

Hi Ruth,

Just wanted to thank you for responding to my email so quickly. Quixtar is the name of the company my friend was telling me about. Now I have the proof I need to show her how wrong she is about this venture. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.
