Re: Amway/Quixtar I am a "brainwashed, idiot" so it seems. I still believe that the AMWAY and QUIXTAR businesses are viable and ethical. I would agree that the experiences that all these people went through were horrible and unfortunate. I must point out that people rarely make the distinction between their AMO and the corporate entities or at least can't KEEP the distinction as everything just becomes "that evil business." I truly feel bad reading these stories, it is a heavy burden on me as I've always believed myself to be moral and ethical. I had to do a lot of soul searching when I first learned of the monies attached to the systems and the potential for abuse as people in positions of authority encouraged their use. I still enjoy the tapes and functions and they truly do keep me motivated which I feel justifies the money spent (but is that really me talking or the brainwashing?) Anyway, before this becomes a novel I just wanted to let you know that I believe the systems have VALUE but they also have much room for IMPROVEMENT. I would have quit my organization, like many of your readers have, if my organization didn't start to change. Thankfully, it did. The system started telling people at "nuts and bolts" and even major functions that money was made off the tools. They told us the bonuses and who got what. Our organization leader began brokering deals with mainstream companies to take advantage of the numbers in our organization and make money outside of the Amway/Quixtar corporations which is used to maintain our system website and the valuable things on it that we can access for FREE. He (and the senior Diamonds) have made it their PUBLICLY stated goal to enhance the incomes of IBO's at the Platinum level and above. In your opinion [since I might not have one of my own :) and need guidance] does this sound like the work of an "evil empire"? It seems the main problem with the tools is the secrecy. It isn't anymore in this particular group, hopefully others will follow. I also know, in my personal experience, that no one tried to keep me from reaching the Platinum level to keep me "lining their pockets", the lack of progress I've made lies squarely on my own shoulders. If I choose to continue purchasing tapes and attending functions and then choose not to act it's my own fault. I'm not being used any more than the people who buy ridiculously priced junk food at the movie theaters. Let me wrap up (thought I'd never quit, huh?) It's in the open with us so it becomes a CHOICE for a prospect to make and view as a second source of income. It is there for all who get to Platinum level as another reason to get there as quickly as you can. Ultimately, I still want my downline to get to Platinum as quickly as possible (not just my personal width) and would never try to keep them from reaping all the available rewards. Systems can help people, they can also hurt, unfortunately - very unfortunately. I am confident that good people can restore some balance to the systems (not the "force", keep focused, I'm almost done) and make them beneficial. Please let me know if any of this made sense to you or if you think my brain is still on a "rinse cycle". I'd be interested in another point of view to these developments and their implications. Thanks for your time. I hope this wasn't too long and you didn't mind my joking with you a bit, your experiences and feelings are very valid and justified considering what you went through. I look forward to any reply you might have for me. Sorry for any spelling or grammar errors, I try my best:) PS You might be interested to know there is now a site called Quixsource.com that is for people who want a source of info. and support outside their line of sponsorship if they feel they are pressured to use their system. Membership is free and they sell some tools on the site to enhance a persons business without "lining the pockets" of their up-line. It's another way that things are hopefully changing for the better. PPS (last one, I SWEAR!) I was just curious how your Diamond was losing money with his Amway business. I hope to avoid this if at all possible! And if it's not avoidable, then I guess I'll be doing some more soul searching and possibly some hunting for a different business opportunity. Peace... Re: Quixtar Greetings from New Zealand. happy Easter! I am in Amway here waiting for the on line site a2k to open in Sept. I have read your various messages. I notice a complete lack of data since December 1999. Why is this? In the three months I have been involved I have not found any negative stuff as per the posts you publish. Having been selling real estate for 16 years, I find the tapes, books and functions a real bonus. Not dissimilar to any of the sales/motivational training I have experienced in that industry. I have met several people who didn't make it in Amway but were thankful of the Tapes, books etc as they grew in personal confidence and people skills and went on to better success in other areas of business. So what that upper levels are rewarded for the movement of that material. It is what reinforces the dream that it is possible to stick it to big business. cheers. Re: Cults Ruth, I read the book Cults in our Midst and WOW, what an eye opener. That is what was done TO us and we just took it and never thought about it critically, just like the book says. We were played for fools. I believed them when they said they were legal, moral and ethical, they were not a cult because then people would do what they were told, etc. I see now, however, that when my upline Emerald said he didn't care if it was illegal when he saw it, he was going to do it anyway. We were part of this ???? for ten years. I now regret not doing things with my family because they fell on function weekends or we were doing something else with the "group." Can't get that time back, either. Our marriage is better right now. We have been in marital counseling for three weeks now and are better able to communicate. But, I have not yet brought up the touchy subject of Amway. I did provide our counselor with a lot of info from your web sites and others about the manipulation and deceit involved. Thanks very much for recommending the book. I will keep in touch. Re: Amway I'm from Puerto Rico and ur right, ANWAY is the same rape as every place else. Now I'm thinking about this new MLM, and u make me think 2 times about it. But I know by fact that is not the same way of MLM but still make me think about it. Here is the adress and just hoping this is not the same rape as ANWAY. www.makeithappennow.com/payplan.html sinserely Re: Equinox QUESTION... can new reps of Equinox get their $ back now that Equinox doesn't exist? Orders arriving the day of Equinox's downfall (4/20/00)... any info on this yet? Any info would be helpful! Company hasn't told reps yet... plus... no way to even get ahold of them... HELP Re: Nutrition for Life Greetings, As a jaded, ex-MLMer, I'm pleased that you've taken the time to create the Survivors web site. I lost a lot of money in a company called Nutrition For Life. I joined in 1996 when the scam artist Kevin Trudeau had taken on the marketing of the program. While I was pretty much anti-MLM prior to joining, Trudeau made a lot of promises that seemed feasible, so I took the plunge. I was even committed enough to the business to give hotel conference room presentations! I've been out of the business for about a year and a half after having tried for two years to make the business work. Before he was ejected from Nutrition For Life by the president of the company, Trudeau had promised that gross sales would reach $1 Billion by year 2000. I just checked the SEC disclosure for NFLI and see that their sales have slipped to the mid-60 million range. Thanks for your efforts! Re: Equinox Shut Down In regards to your reply I thank you. I heard the news last night. Well I am pleased to know there are people that care about others financial stability. Once agian I thank you. Re: Amway I was wondering, if you found out all this information about this scam. Why didn't you sue them for breach of good faith? Or at least, give it to the news media? They love to crucify people. But, the bigger question. Why would you give up when Amway themselves has certain guarantees about what people can or can't say to people. Turn them in to the Amway the Corporation so they can take care this problem. I know you think I'm kidding, but I'm not!!!! You will never know what might happen. The answer is always no unless you ask. This computer is not mine, but if you would like to respond to me, my E-mail address is *. Thank you, Re: Equinox Shut down Hi Ruth, Thank you so very much for all of your information. Gosh I can't tell you what all of this means to me. I am actually quite emotional about it all. What a blessing this is in my "healing". I know it sounds goofy but it is true. This sounds awful but I am going to do whatever I can to receive ANY type of restitution. Even if it is a check for 5 bucks...if it is a piece of Bill Gouldds millions it will make me feel better. I know this is kind of bad but I am thinking...wow Mr. Gouldd now you know what it feels like to lose everything. Ruth I am so emotional and I am so thankful for all of the information you have shared with me. You have given me a "safe" place to speak the truth. Thanks again. Thank you for your wonderful site! I have had several terrible experiences with mlm and really thought I was alone in thinking it was a rip-off. Network Marketing Lifestyles makes it look so pure and wholesome. I have read that only 1% of people ever make money in mlm -- so how in the world does it survive? Please keep up the great work! I have a really nasty self-proclaimed, ego-driven, fake radio host into multiple mlms giving me grief so I would prefer to keep my name and email address and this post between you and me. Thank you for letting me vent! Re: Omegatrend I am concerned about the level ov activity in Australia of a group called OMEGATREND It comprises of a supposed " Business Package" and promotes products that are readily available on the supermarket shelf under its own brand called Sanden Brook. The problem is that it costs you about $450 to "join" and the products are about 3 to 4 times deares than the came item on the super shelf. They claim to dispence the profit with the buyers however this is not the case as you really only get SOME of your OWN money back from the exorbanent price you pay in the first place. The big catch comes when you have to sign up three other members with in a prescribed time to form your "Club" . This they profess will get you 50% discount and a couple of bonus points to buy more of their products. Whoppee. ??//??!!@@@ My advise is that anyone being approached about a Business Package should tell the dealer to take a HIKE, If you don"t you will be drawn into a amway type situation with serious FINANCIAL REPOCUSSIONS that will spend your hard earned dollars and only make the OMEGATREND Directors and PYRAMID Leaders rich while You and All the lttle Vegimiteds are working your arse off for nothing! Want More Info ... Call Or Email me I will be only too willing to tell you ALL the CONS you will hear. Re: Equinox Shut Down INDEED .... GREAT NEWS!!! I hope it "catches on" making new "start-up" MLMs think twice about creating such a company .... and also to "wake up" those MLM companies that already exist .... make them realize that there's a human toll that gets dearly paid in the companies effort to make a profit. Thanks for the update!! I'm getting married in 28 days ... so I haven't haven't had much time to spend online lately. Take Care Ruth!! Re: Equinox Shut Down Have you seen the latest? EQ is gone for good! /are you going to post any news? Thanks Re: Equinox Shut Down Thanks for the update...interesting..we'll pass it on. Re: Amway Hi! I read your article and thought to myself, "Wow! That was me a few years ago!" I too have had nothing but bad experiences with AMWAY. What a name! AMWAY, it is to mean, "The American Way". How anyone can feel that any company or person for that matter, who goes after every last cent a hard working person has can be the American Way, I do not know. Our founding Fathers who created the Constitution must turn over a hundred thousand times a day in their graves to see what is happening to America today. Our first experiences were so much like yours. We spent our food money, the kids and I went without clothing, shoes and other necessities as "you will be so happy you sacrificed in just a short while. You will see, it will all be worth the sacrifice now. Just make sure you have at least 3 really nice outfits so you look successful." Why I could not see through this scam at that time, I do not know! I was stupid! I was ignorant! I was blinded by the fact everything told us, "Follow our plan and YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL! YOU WILL NEVER WANT FOR ANOTHER THING IN THIS LIFE EVER!" We took it all in, hook, line and of course, the sinker! And did we ever sink! We did not learn the first time around. "Oh, you just did not put every effort into it! Did YOU go WITH YOUR HUSBAND, or did you fink out and stay home with the kids?" I should have realized then. "Oh my goodness! YOU have to HELP him or NEITHER of you can be successful! Get a baby sitter! You deserve a night away from the kids!" I told the brainwashers, "I don't want to be away from my children. I want to be the one to care for them. I do not want to hire someone to be their second mother." My goodness was that ever the wrong thing to say. I was told I was not supporting my husband in the most important thing we could ever do in our lives. I was going to be the failure point in our family. Well, we did divorce after a while. Not only was our marriage a failure, our finances were a total disaster! He was even going out on me! Whether or not the AMACAM business had anything to do with it, I cannot say for sure, but I will always feel it was a big contributing factor. He was always around other girls and women, and never home where he belonged. He was inlisted in the Air Force, so he had his full time job and because he had 10 years in, he was not able to sell to anyone who had less time in grade than he did. That meant he had to cross over to the officers side and try to sell to them. No way was that going to work! So after his day at work, he spent another full time job trying to sell products. I was the "failure" here as I did stay home with my children and baby. No one was going to take that away from me. It was not long after that we were divorced either. Now, after being in 3-4 times with my first husband, and again had to go through it with a second husband, I can see how it was designed to tear families apart. My second marriage failed as well! Again, I was the big bad wife who would not support my husband in the most important thing he could ever do in his life! I chose to stay home with my children instead. I did not attend the rallys and family reunions. I wanted not one thing to do with the AmScam program. Now here we are in the new millenium. We just visited some wonderful friends who recently moved. We drove to visit with them only to hear an all too familiar scam had reached out and snagged them! They are in the "New Amway". They have spent thousands of dollars for they and their children to attend these special "sepf Improvement" meetings. They have "Connected" with their "Buddies" of the opposite sex and think they are in the very best years of their lives. They have quit good paying jobs to "Work their new business". They talk of the "love" the "Connections" and the new spiritual realms they have reached, "all because of our new business." Our hearts ache for them as we know what they are into, and that it is only a matter of time before they have hit the road of destruction. Their youngest is 10 and going out with their "Teen Buddies", who have all been to these self improvement seminars. They are the greatest kids in the world. Nothing bad can happen as they are all from "Our New Family". They told us how they just don't have time for anyone who is not in their group, as they must remain "Connected". Is there an end to this deceipt? Is there a way to get there poor people who are being brain washed into this thing to realize before they lose everything important to them? What can we do? Thanks and just call me AMSCAMMED FOR THE LAST TIME! Re: Amway/Quixtar I'm truly sorry that there are so many more people that fail (Quit) at Amway/ Quixtar than succeed. However, unlike you, I have followed the leaders and discovered how to be a leader myself. I, and many of my friends/downline have profited incredibly from this business, and helped others to do the same. My life has improved dramatically in just a little over 1 year. I'm sorry you didn't make it to 'point B' before you Quit. I was a skeptic and spent several months studying the business before I got involved, from mostly independent books and sources, and found much of what you say to be true (in a very skewed and mutated way :-), however the good outweighed the bad on paper, and in real life (my life). Thanks for your ear- Love and peace, Re: Amway You think you're tired of drivel? Well so am I. My family comes from an upper middle class background, neither poor nor rich, well-off as it is said. One day in 1992 my brother came home from university (he was studying 4th year law/economics and I was in 1st year medicine). He said "Mum, will you lend me $98.00, I'm going to start an Amway business,". Neither my brother nor I had heard of the company. "Over my dead body!" came the reply from our mother, who had been a family lawyer in practice for the last four years (she went to university part-time after we had "reached an acceptable height"). She then went to the cupboard, retrieved an old bottle of carpet shampoo, saying "This is Amway,", to which my brother responded "No, Mum, it's a bottle of carpet shampoo, not a corporate entity,". My brother was persistent, but I wanted nothing to do with it (with all the wisdom of an eighteen year-old). He told my mother to stop patronizing him and to stop being his mother and be his lawyer for once. So she did. She investigated. We lived in Hobart (Tasmania), but she contacted law firms in Sydney as well as consumer and corporate affairs watchdogs in her mission to save my brother from his folly. Well, research she did and quickly found that this was not only a legitimate way to have one's own business, but could be a way to pay off the house and allow our father to retire from medicine. There's no such thing as a free lunch, but that didn't worry my parents, who have always believed in independence and only being an employee for as long as one has to be. They worked hard. Initially, it seemed easier than it was, as people were sometimes influenced by my parents' "status" and not by their own ambitions (and consequently they did nothing). But with all the ups and downs of any business, my parents are now founders directs. My brother sponsored them. They have businesses in 11 countries (some more prosperous than others) and my mother now works the business full-time and loves it. They have had numerous free trips to the other side of the world and, yes, COLD HARD CASH. At the moment They get something of the order of AUD$60k from their Australian business alone. I don't know the exact amount as it has always been rude in well brought-up families not to ask one's parent's (nor anyone else's) income directly. Of course it isn't rude to ask for very detailed (and direct!) figures in a business proposal, but it is rude to say to somebody "How much do you earn from your medical practice, from your legal practice, from your job with the company, etc?". I think the reason that people like you want to know exactly how much money people earn is NOT because you're rude (I don't believe you're rude), but it is because you view the idea of a business in contract with Amway as some sort of scheme or deal to make a bit of cash, rather than a profession (or potential profession). If someone enters a competition, it's not rude to ask "How much did you win?", as it's a one-off thing, but to probe into someone's personal life is rude; the fact that they may own a business in contractual arrangements with Amway does not make it okay. For six months I maintained a degree of snobbery about Amway (I was a medical student). Well I am now a military doctor on the emergency college training program with no such insecurities. I have decided to build my own Amway business, with the example set by my parents (who are real people I can touch who really are earning money!!), as I can see no other future, other than academic satisfaction of doing things to a high standard, than that of an emergency physician on a government salary, in an ER, at midnight, being called a f***ing c**t by some of Sydney's more colourful residents, until I retire. That's what all the others do; and they train for 13 years for the privilege. I will still do the program, but after my four years' service to the Army as a medical officer, and after I build my business to emerald. I will work 2 or 3 days a week, on contract, not as an employee. How does that sound? Is it a mindless dream fed to me buy some shark? No, it's a promise of opportunity (not even my parents will do the work for me!) with a track to run on, a track set by my family. Yes there are some things that I can't stand about Amway. To name a couple, I hate the endless standing ovations at meetings (it's a bit too American for me, no offence). I hate the clapping to the beat of music (which I regard as an insincere form of applause). I hate having to explain the culture-shock to someone new that most of them aren't thinking about how its looks clapping to the music, and they stand up all the time because they have since the early days of the business (a direct American import - culture and all). However, I have enough brains to realise that these are superficial things that do not affect the business opportunity. Do you think I'm oblivious to simple time-honoured practices of dimming lights, talking with music in the background to get emotion going, etc? Go to any Pentecostal or evangelical church and you'll see the same stuff. I still can't stand it though... However, things are changing, at least in my corner of the world. My parents run seminars in Tasmania, and they have appealed to the leaders in their organisation and in those throughline to them to make things a bit more culturally appropriate. After all, if people want to clap to the beat, they can go to church! So at least in seminars in my state the leaders don't give every Tom, Dick and Harry a standing ovation, just an ovation if they've achieved something (it's still more recognition than they get from their boss, without feeling uncomfortable). And after all, the definition of leaders being "they have followers", the others do likewise (as in any political or other rally or large meeting - people are the same). So now instead of the seminars being a risk to new candidates, it is a worthwhile function to showcase the business. It has worked very well. People who had steered clear of the business before are looking over it, as business meetings are now just that, not hyped up rallies. I didn't write this to attack you, but I just fell a bit disappointed by the bitterness of your website. To think that John H has got himself in such a twist is mind-boggling. I have quite a few friends who for whatever reason are not interested in going into business with me. I still see them regularly. They don't discourage me, and I encourage them in their own pursuits. To think that the condition on which a friendship is based should be whether or not someone goes into business with one is a bit narrow-minded. I don't think that way. I friends in the business, and friends outside my type of business. I think no less of them. I believe they think no less of me for at one time asking them, because I do so in a professional and courteous manner, almost inviting them to say no. You see, if I "sell" someone the business, they'd be doing something because I promoted it, not because they want to, so what would I gain (in PV)? Very little, so I would have wasted my time. But some individuals make a hell of an impression ( a bad one) by thinking they're in the business of selling Amway to their friends. They get desperate and say stupid things. After all, if anyone can get in by invitation, quite a few idiots slip in. I have seen some real dorks embarrass us all by their approach. We call them "Amway one-cells", i.e. with the brain of an amoeba. There was one who couldn't even pronounce "distributor" (she said "dicstributor"). Although it sounded amusing to us, people out there that she was talking to got their impression of a whole company and business through what she was saying. Talk about embarrassing! Needless to say, she eventually quit. Which leads me to my final point. You might counter by saying that I have a 1 in 6000 or whatever "chance" of "becoming" a diamond. This isn't a lottery, you know. You don't just register and see how you go. Can you tell me the number of people who start university and end up with incomes in excess of $200, 000 a year? What would that mean as a percentage? Would there be something wrong with the university if people quit or end up on low salaries? What are the "odds" of success for a professional investor versus a first time stock market gambler? What are the odds of success in real estate? Is there something wrong with real estate that 100%, 50 or even 25% of the people starting don't make it? I have colleagues who went to the same school as me who are now on welfare, but I am an officer in the Army and a doctor. Was there something wrong with the school? (no, my parents did not pay my college fees, that's why I'm in the Army!!). Get the picture? People come and people go. In fact in a few days time I'll be getting together with an old friend who used to be in my group, but he wants to do something else now. Neither of us has any regrets. Is he a victim? I have been registered, but only active as a shopper, all through my university and the last two years ( a total of 8 years); I occasionally sponsored someone hear and there, but didn't do any really hard work; but now I've decided to be more active. Am I counted in your statistics of success? After all, it's been 8 years and I'm still not diamond.....haven't done any work, mind you, but that's not the point, right? I should be up for it now, I bought my ticket in the Amway lottery, as you view it. Of course not. It's just like anything else. It takes work: hard work, smart work and not giving up. Why are you so bitter? I've read your story (I don't have the whole book - I read the extracts). I don't know what organisation it was or who the diamond was, but if you ask me I think he was stupid to have employed someone in his group anyway, not for what they might "find out", but for the simple dynamics of it all. It's like employing your children. You should never have joined for the reasons you stated (loneliness, etc.). It's a business for crying out loud, not a fellowship organisation. What did you expect? Fellowship is a by-product of a networking business, not an end product. You should have joined a church, or equivalent, depending on your personal religious beliefs. I try to reject people who I mistake as being ambitious, by their initial response; people who come to a meeting and then say "This is great just for the positive motivation!". Give me a break. It's about making money. If you just want motivation, go to an Anthony Robbins seminar. If you're interested in making money and all that it can do for your family and community, then this is the place to be. Don't come if you think money is evil. Even mother Theresa died with US$4 million in her account. How else was she to feed the poor? With love alone? No, it took money, lots of money. So there it is. Incidentally, the threats about spamming are reciprocated. My brother (the same one) happens to be a web developer. 'nough said there. So don't even think about spamming me. Yours sincerely, Re: Equinox Shut Down Hello!! I KNOW that you're horribly busy with other things but I have just one teeny question. Since Equinox settled the case which was not surprising with all that evidence stacked against them, do the distributors get an equal amount of money back or to how much money they have spent or lost due to that company...What I mean is in my case.....the company charged $ 7,000 to my credit card so would I get $7,000 back?? Just wondering since I've been trying to figure out the settlement. If you're not sure, just let me know and I'll check the web site every now and then to get updates on the progress of the settlement. I may not get much out of the settlement but I'm sure glad to see Bill Gouldd fall HARD and FAST. I know I'm awful in gloating in someone's misfortune but he deserves every inch of that misfortune. I mean he sent his entire legal team after me and my lawyer...he fights dirty! Even tried to get me to sign a no disclosure agreement where I could not talk about my experiences nor could I sue them later on. I refused because I wanted to let others know. Thanks for your time, Re: Amway Hello, I enjoyed your website, it was very informative. I learned that a good friend of mine was onto something. This something he called his buisness. I probed a bit because I have been working on developing my own business. When I learned that he might be involved with Amway I did some research including the pro and con stories etc.. This friend of mine I grew up with and look up to him as the older brother I never had. He is a very intelligent guy and have always enjoyed talking and doing things with him. Every time I inquired about this buisness of his he would tell very little other than we must talk; I thought we were talking at that moment. He approached this in a manor that he wanted to arrange a time to meet together in person and only us. I'm thinking what is the big deal but I respected his approach. It did send up some red flags but I wanted to learn because I felt that I owed him the benefit of the doubt. Time passed and we were unable to arrange to meet. About nine months ago my best friend (best man)hosted my bachlor party. My good friend with the business attended the party. There was a moment during the weekend that my good friend approached my best man about his business concept. I shared my earlier experiences with my best friend and so he was aware of the possiblity of being approached. My best friend had a prior experience and was wise to the scam. When he was approached during the party he turned my good friend away. After the party my best friend and I talked about what happened etc.. A few months later my good friend continues to contact my best friend and I about this business. He did finally get the message from my best friend that he was not interested. Just last week my good friend made a trip up north close to my home. We arranged for him to stop by and visit. This was the big moment and he had not clue that I knew as much as I did. In some way I was like a cat playing with a mouse and to some degree feel bad about not being upfront with things but I felt that he was in turn leading me on so maybe we were even at this point. Sure enough he made a solid attempt to make the sales pitch and I just batted him around like a toy. First, we headed out to get some lunch figuring we could talk on the way but it must be noted that this was a planned strategy on my part because he left all of his materials and information back at my place, so he had to work from head only. The lunch was a bit drawn out but comfortable. When we returned he inquired if we had internet access / computer at home. The answer was no. He then continued and later inquired about whether we had a VCR. The answer was no. Things continued for hours and now he is making calls to his wife and family to inform them that he was going to be late. His last effort was to leave me a package of materials for me to review at my leasure and he would follow up with me at a later date because he needed the materials returned (he owned them). OK. I listened and learned and confirmed what I already knew. I believe that he learned a lot from the experience. Unfortunately, I didn't leave with any solid business information. I am now thinking about how I want to proceed. He is a good friend that I care about. I wish him the best with his endeavors but it is not easy and can't put my finger on what is so hard about the situation etc.. I am thinking that I would want to review his financial statements (cash flow, balance sheets, income statements, chart of accounts etc.) to actually review the performance of his so called business. I also feel that I need to let him know what I know and that to some degree I was not only perpared for him but I was actually playing with him. I believe that if he is a good friend I owe him my honesty. To conclude this story; my good friend told me that he wanted to partner with me and help become an indendant business owner like him. He continued by adding that I wanted to help me to start by working with me to approach (AND GET THIS) "my best friend" AND my little sister (She will always be my little sister). I don't believe i need to say any more. I would be interested in your feedback, thoughts and or advise. Thank you and best wishes. Sincerely, Re: PrePaid Legal considering NWM of PrePaid Legal Services. Read through all your site and comments, e-mails. Did NOT see any comments pertaining to NWM of PrePaid Legal. Are there any??? Re: Trek Alliance Hi! My name is ** and I just recently got involved with Trek Alliance. I would like to know what you think about this company. I noticed some of the names you mentioned are the people who were mentioned at the meetings I went to. I was asked to get a loan for about $2500 and the only thing that stopped me was because I wasn't able. My good friend has been with the company for about 4 months and has done okay. I see her moving up so I want to believe that it is okay. She is a very strong Christian as I am so that is why I am wanting to know what we are getting ourselves into. I haven't put a lot of money into this yet. I would like if possible for you to send me anything and everything you have regarding the top money earners you spoke of regarding Equinox. I think these are the same people who are running Trek. I really do appreciate it. Thanks! Re: ACN Dear sir,. In Holland there is a company called ACN which is active in the energy, internet-global mall and telecommunication buisness. My question ; Is it legal not yet having all the services availeble. We only have the long-distance call availeble, the others are not yet ready. Do we deal with a piramidconstruction? Greatings Re: Amway/Quixtar Hello, My name is ** and my wife is ***. We have been in Amway since mid 94. We haven't really done anything with it till Quixtar came into the plan. Wait, let me back up. The first years we were doing the call upline for everything and pick up everything. Nope didn't do much. Basically quit. Then a friend of mine approached me, we meet his upline and it was a new ball game. Call upline for tools yes but everything else was drop-shipped to where ever we wanted. Much better. And so were the people. At the time I was very into drugs & alcohol, not a very good husband, not a very good father to my two wonderful children, generally not a good person. My wife was always the one doing this. That has all changed I belive largely because of this business. I have met a lot of people and done a lot of growing up. We are both 30. When we changed lines about 2 years ago we had no one under us. We signed up about 6 couples in about 3 months. Then nothing till about March of 99. then we decide to do something. We now have over 80 people under us in 5 legs. And it just keeps getting better and better. We have an awesome upline. As for some of the stats and stories on your site ,, well maybe try another look st the site now that it has been running for a while. And the stories,,, I do understand, been there ,, did something about it ! Not to say I don't have sympathy for anyone but you make your own choices whether you realize it or not. Not saying this is the only way,, anything else is wrong, because it's not. Belive me, I know all is not perfect. Basically, I was 24, a drug & alcohol using carpenter with not much of a future for me and my family. Now I am still a carpenter, but I'm clean and sober with what I strongly believe- no I know will be a wonderful life for my family for generations to come. I am sorry to hear that things didn't go good for you. Maybe you had poor upline relations as we did? I hope that I haven't offended you or anyone else. I also would not mind hearing back from you if you feel like . Sincerely, Re: Equinox Shut Down thank you!!!!!! Re: MLM Addiction Dear Sirs My marriage just broke up do to my husband addiction to mlm. He has been in every thing that you could think of, he stated with Amway what I am sure started him on this sick pattern and after trying many more things he is now in Melaleuca. He has choosen his famliy over this, he has even betrayed his daughter by going to ex husband to sing him up. He has lost so much for this do you have any info on this company? He claims it is not like the others and he will be able to make it he claims they are trustworthy company and that we are all wrong. Help. Please return to * Part II Dear Ruth, NO he has never made a penny. But has spent alot of dollars. Yes I am a christain and I can not believe how many christains I have fond on line that are against mlm. I know now that this is right from the pitts of hell. Do not think I can be much help to my husband because ro night he choose mlm over his famliy. His sickness is so deep that he betrayed his daughter so deeply this past week. See my daughter just went through a very bad deviorce. Her husband was cheating on her really big in prono and alot of sick stuff. Any normal parent would want to stay away from this guy well not my husband he went this past week and tried to sign him up sick Thanks for the info like I said it is most likely to late for my husband but maybe I could help someone else . Re: Equinox Shut Down Hoorah..for the underdog...many kudos on the coverage on Equinox. God bless you :) Re: Mannatech Wish to have all the info (current) you have on Mannatech Inc, Coppell, Texas. I am very concerned about this company. This company seems to feed off of the gullible and weak minded as well as children...I believe this company to be a dangerous company touting food suppliments that border on misrepresentation and fraud...It seems that pres.Caster is no stranger to fraudulent practices....go figure. The rest of the executive branch seem to be in cahoots...the danger here is they protray themselves as experts...physicians to boot...so the gullible and weak minded are going to "go for it". The latest on the home front is a movement within the company and it's reps. to announce, declare, insist and demand to the American public that PARENTS NOT VACCINATE CHILDREN...seems Ambrotose is the miricle for everything...latest claims are that children do not need vaccinations if they take Ambrotose...the latest scare is that children who are vaccinated will sicken and die...I won't even go into the cultist religious non-sense that goes along with all this guff... My greatest worry is that a crosssection of the American public WILL INDEED not vaccinate their children...hey, M.D.'s are telling folks it's dangerous and unhealthy...if just 10 per cent buys into this the results could very possibly be a national health emergency...it truly alarms me and I am not easily alarmed... People need to be reminded that if children are not vaccinated we could have polio epidemics, diptheria, mumps, etc., etc., etc. THIS IS NOTHING TO MESS AROUND WITH. My grandchildren are being seduced by a woman that is emotionally unstable and, because of her unbalanced mental state, is obsessive-compulsive about MANNATECH PRODUCTS. She's "on a roll" as they say. We cannot make her shut up, go away or stop!!! She is like the Three-headed Dog that guards the gates of Hell. She can become mentally and physically abusive to the point of violence over this Ambrotose jazz... I need help in fighting this company in any and every way possible legally. I am committed to getting the word out as well as shuting them down forever and ever...AMEN! Problem is I do not know where to begin or go from here. Any direction, guidance and advice you can give would be much appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you in the very near future...time is of the essence as I at least need to get this rep. out of our lives and all common sense, logic, and hard core facts fail with this person... Thank you |
