Amway in the White House? |

It has long been known that Amway and its owners and "leaders" are major contributors to the Republican Party. DeVos has, in the past, been the single largest soft-money contributor to the Party. Betsy DeVos, wife of eldest son Dick, was until recently the Republican Committee Chair in the state of Michigan. Now it appears that George W. Bush, if elected as the next President of the United States, will have an Amway office in the White House, right next to the office of the National Rifle Assocation. According to a report in the New York Times on July 30, 2000:
The article continues to describe a Republican Convention which is really two separate events simultaneously; the "public" convention, the one you see on TV, and the behind-the-scenes convention where major corporate and individual donors are being wined and dined in an attempt to increase their already large donations. Other large donors include tobacco giant Phillip Morris and the National Rifle Association. MLMSurvivor.com is an all-volunteer website, but we still have expenses.
